The new Intel Skulltrail system has been labeled so, by sites which have received product evaluation samples. A single processor system beats the hell out of this beast at almost all benchies, not to mention at almost half the power consumption.

Skulltrail is an interesting product, but it's a little to early, as not all application use all 8-cores.

Immature and lacks software support ? i wouldnt say that as Skull trail is not your everyday avg PC user desktop, it is mainly aimed for "Enthusiast" and heavy CPU processing systems like CAD rendering or animations that will make 8 cores bleed.

murag pang server man gyud ngali to gibutangan lang og multiple 16x pci-e para pang gaming(sli/cf) kunuhay. for the same reason, dli na pud practical pang server kay ning mahal cguro nag samot tungod sa extra graphics card slots..unsaon man pud nmo nang extra slots kung pang server imong only purpose. pero it would indeed make sense for those people who are into 'heavy' cpu usage and at the same time needs a lot of gpu power (wla koy idea unsa)

Well, yeah, if we're talking bout "those" enthusiasts, but in gaming, skulltrail is not a top-notch, at least, not yet.

haha...well, at least that's what I've read.
If it's not for gaming, then the Quad-SLi would be a waste. (Unless you plan to plug in 4 Teslas)

this rig set up wud make wonders in an HD video post production and visual effects.or 3d animation render farms.

like the Mac Pro HD with 2P x quad core XEONs

....its really ahead of its ..( windows OS and apps ) time

but when it's time comes..its already obsolete...
