as for experience of durability... brand comparisons.. im using asus(dili lang dvdrw cdrom lang pero lig on dyd.. 3 na ka PC ni agi ani.. 50x cdrom since 1998, nko liteon cdrw lang pero durable mn ako cge gamit mga tuig na kapin so far wala disability.

dili na sigurado nga maayo ang ilang cdrw ug cdrom, maayo sad ang ilang dvdrw. most complaints about dvdroms and dvdrws kay dali ra kaayo madaot. bisan pa ug nindot ang brand. ang ako bitaw sony nga cdrw... ok ra man kaayo... 5 years na gamit. but ang akong sony dvdrom drive, kay mamili ug cd. and dali ra naguba.

i tried all of this drives (except ASuS) they work great w/ pro's & con's on thier side BUT

yeah ive seen accent micros BenQ units, pero only the 1629pro and 1620 are available. naa naba ni higher model version like DW1640 or 1625, ana na available?
unsa media gi gamit ninyo pang backup media files, kana branded media that can last very long or better a lifetime. asa ta ka palit barato na branded media disc?

The LG LGA-4167B isn't too bad. It comes with a 2yr manufacturer's warranty & it's one of the few that supports DVD-RAM. Dili sab pili-an og media.

ASUS DRW1608P2S - kay mas nindot ang mga hacked firmwares niya compared sa others... But okay sab ang LG 4167B kay naka-set na as DVD-ROM booktype ang burning sa DVD+R og DVD+R DL... :mrgreen: You might have to manually set the DVD-ROM booktyping with some burning softwares though...
