Was there last year. Paid less than 1.5Kphp/night for a room for 2. They have a special rate for local tourists. The food in the resort is a bit expensive.

    HOMETREE

In the year 2154, a lush, Earth-like moon of the planet Polyphemus in the Alpha Centauri star system lies Pandora. Pandora is inhabited by the Na'vi, a ten-foot-tall (3 m) blue-skinned species of sapient humanoids, who live in harmony with nature, worshiping a mother goddess called Eywa.

On the depths of Pandora, a giant tree stands tall and hidden deep down on its bowels secretly exists a Na'vi clan called Omaticaya. This tree serves as the heart of the bio-botanical neural network to which Pandoran organisms are connected. It is a place they called home, it is called
    Hometree.

    The Oldest Tree
    Canlaon City

Claimed to be as the oldest recorded tree in the province and perhaps even in the country as it is estimated to be 1300 years old, this tree has been a lone witness to Canlaon City’s progress and evolution.

Today they call it the “wonder balete” because of the mystery that hovers around its existence and why it has been isolated from all the other Balete trees as if picked out and planted on just this one specific spot. Every night, curious travelers could not help but gaze in awe at a now-illuminated tree – the doing of many hundreds of fireflies that have come to take refuge in its wide and sturdy branches. Thus, another title – Canlaon’s all year round Christmas tree. From a distance, the tree would look somehow enchanted.

The Wonder Balete is now one of Canlaon City’s major tourist destinations, drawing attention from foreigners, travelers, and the media. After all it is the only known tree that has lived for over a thousand years. Its trunk is so enormous that it would take a total of 42 individuals to link outstretched hands together just to be able to embrace it. The diameter of the tree is estimated to be more than a hundred centimeters. At the heart of this wide tree trunk is an alcove where lizards, bats and many insects have made it into their natural habitat.

    I
    think
    that I shall
    never see A poem
    lovely as a tree. A
    tree whose hungry mouth
    is prest Against the earth's
sweet flowing breast; A tree that
looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy
arms to pray; A tree that may in Summer
wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon
whose bosom snow has lain; Who
    intimately lives with rain.
    Poems are made by
    fools like me,
    But
    only
    God
    can
    make
    a tree.
