In the first place, it was a very funny case, and doctors, as professional as they are, they are STILL HUMAN, and is subject to emotion.

And as professionals they're supposed to act like one and keep their emotions in check. What's funny are grown up men and women in the OR acting like 6 year old kids. Angayan ba magspray sa OR? I guess we all have social "protocols" to follow. Spraying that body spray inside the OR is just like bringing and drinking liquor inside the classroom while the class is still going on, it's totally uncalled for, especially for professionals like doctors and nurses.

cologne is made of alcohol compounds and chemicals that might contaminate sterile med equipments in the OR.. i know the doctor was aware of that.

bisan pa atong ibutang nga wala gyud g-spray pero "action-action" lang, is that really an acceptable behavior by professionals like them?

It's the act itself that makes it all wrong. Professionals aren't supposed to act that way.

i have several friends who are surgeons and my cousin is also a surgeon..
they saw the video too..
as per them, surgeons have their own way to make fun to relieve tension in the OR during a procedure..
and they agreed what happened in vsmmc is way too much.. and if it the "supposedly" purpose why they took a video of the procedure is for documentation of the case for study, it was improper... much more, the improper way was publicized in youtube..

Whether the surgeon who removed the bottle really did spray it on the surgical team or not is not relevant. Even if he did not laugh or join in with the other people in screaming and general merry-making.

The point is he was THERE and he condoned those actions. Sometimes people commit mistakes not because they did something but because of their INACTION.

That's the very reason why those doctors, nurses, and everybody responsible there should face proper sanctions in contrary to what many believed here.
