We don't need magic--we just need ample time and the right tools, and the patient and capable people to investigate. People such as Craig Venter and others at The Institute for Genomic Research, who are actually working on a method that involves engineering existing prokaryotic cells with progressively fewer genes, attempting to discern at which point the most minimal requirements for life were reached. It's a long and painstaking process, not for the impatient and those who seek "instant" answers, and I suggest that we just sit and wait patiently (or encourage your grandkids to be genetic engineers! LOL) for the results, but I'm confident they'll get to that point within my lifetime.

it's amazing to see you mentioned the use of Logic and yet unable to provide logical explanation for your position.
again... you guys claim...there is no God...how can we know this is true?
how do we know there is God? Intelligent Design requires Intelligent Designer, that's logic.
Dumb Chemicals produced Intelligent Creation, now that's dumb, its illogical.
so now your turn, do you believe there is no God? prove it. don't give me the usual excuse of "we don't need to prove anything" , that's for lazy people. You stated an assumption w/c is "there is no God" now prove it.
Of course not. As usual, you mistake science for some kind of authoritative body that people like me bow to, when in fact it's just a tool. One has a brain, and one uses what one have learned since childhood about the scientific method, and try to see if the report coming in from the scientific community is indeed sound and follows the scientific method--if they don't then you reject them, simple as that--if they do conform, then accept. If you have trouble trying to utilize the tool, then it's your shortcoming, not the tool's.

no evidence, thank you for being honest, you are taking this into your brain w/o any proof therefore you are acting by faith.
now I rather believe in an Intelligent Designer than believe in something dumb.
Dumb Chemicals producing intelligent life? tsk tsk. I think this is more magical.
Who said I'm relying on faith? All I'm doing is waiting for an answer from those working on the problem (and in fact if I had the expertise and the background to help them work on the problem, I'd be working on it faster than you'd bat an eyelid), and (happily enough) I'm not as impatient as you are.
