aw, if u r talking about De Molay, it is not yet a Freemasonry. It is a masonic youth org, together w/ it's sister orgs like Jobs Daughter and Rainbow...and maybe we could say it could be a precursor to freemasonry as they have similar rituals pertaining to it, and it only applies to young people aged 14-21. yes, De Molay is a reputable organization, no doubt about it.

but still, the questions for all is, DO U REALLY NEED TO JOIN ONE? HAVE EXTRA TIME to join one? Is it really for you?

it is a good thing you brought this up.
well, u could also be right that this thread should be in SPIRITUALITY & THE OCCULT forum. besides, "ALL-RELIGION" concept man kha ang Freemasonry, so meaning, it is NOT A SECULAR org. mura sab btaw wala na ni sa Politics & Current Events. Mura gani naa unta ni sa General Discussions forum.

The idea gani of "all-religion" is somewhat cloudy for me ha. A Catholic member joining an org that believes in "SUPREME BEING" and having their own all-religion rituals sometimes doesn't make any sense. that is why we can't blame some people to suspect that there could be some form of PROSELYTISM taking place in there. Proselytism is an act of influencing a person to another opinion, usually another religion.

yah it really depends on you.. i think everything is a choice. It is great to be a mason because you can be an asset and you will have your fraternal brothers as your other assets too. If loyal lang ka sa org. i think you will reap what you sow.

I want to join the masons though.

another story, i attended one of their regular meetings, then they'll have this little party at the latter part of the day, food & liquor is there. Then i was sitting at one of the tables along with these older people, one guy was talking about a problem, and said this was what he did, and was asking, did i do the right thing, and the others advised him, this was what you should have done, etc.. and that guy was, one of the very2x few that received the highest recognition in the police force in the country.. yet humble enough to ask for advice.. hehe..

another story, we had a nightout at some bar/club, then there's this waitress in a very sexy outfit, serving our order.. then the girl noticed the rings of my friends with the sign same as her deceased grandfather/great grandfather (cant remember all the details exactly ), then she was asked for her lolo's name and her name and her number.. the next day, a search in the records were done, and the girl was actually telling the truth, she was called and she was sent back home in the province and given funding to go back to school until she finishes college.. they cant just let a brothers granddaughter work in such a place, coz they made a vow to protect and guide a brothers family.. hehe..

Very true bai JX , I had the same experience also . We were in HK and having a good time with some Filipinas na hookers kay na overstay sila . While having a drinking spree and conversation sa usa ka bar , she noticed also the ring of my liberty buddy and started to ask him about freemasonry because she said her dad was a freemason also . It change the whole environment , my buddy wasnt interested anymore of her as his " companion " and gave her money and was sent home to the Philippines to cover all her expenses from plane tickets to immigration fees .

I was baffled but it didnt ake long because he explain to me . All MASONS are DADS of the children of MASONS bisan dili pa ka affiliated sa JOBS DAUGHTER or DeMOLAY .
