i watched a game last night pharex vs someother team ..
every single time down the court.. the smallest guy (id say pg but that implies hes a smart and can control his team) brings the ball down .. puts his hand on his head ? or up high and yells something .. gets to the top of the key .. and stands there driblling.. nothin happens.. no plays are run .. and if something is run .. no one pics for one another .. or its some ineffective offence.. and just a motion to get open to recieve a pass .. (it doesent get any open to finish a play/ make a shot ...
i was soo frustrated i changed the channel about 20 times ..these guys get great money(i assume) .. for what ??coz they went to school in manila... please

hutheww.. welcome bro..
in the pbl, they tend to give more exposure to manila players.. they're insecure with people from the south or they're afraid someone from the south will dominate their league..
@thenewguy :P
looking forward to seeing u play... hehehe
@kamandag
exactly... talk about crab mentality..![]()
the main reason why I was hoping "if" he was athletic is, I am expecting him to dominate the stat line for USC - pts/rebound/assists/blks...they need somebody to help Llanto since he can't do it alone, Nino Ramirez successfully did that in spurts but not constantly or their roles were reversed meaning he was the main guy and Llanto backed him up for this season....makatawa lang ko sa gisulti sa 1 of the referees who officiated the finals - "gipaunduyunan ra na sila sa UV", sad to say as a basketball fan, it's an insult to the oppossing team....no matter how we look at it (even though the series reached to its climaxed, I can attest UV never played their A game or their hearts out for 40mins in every game of the series...those 2 games they lost and the 1 game they had a big deficit, it seems like they were lackadaisical or no zest at all to play the series...when people or the UV bosses' were pressuring them, they were just lucky to be able to comeback and win it all...no matter how others view it as a tight series, I still think it wouldn't be a similar outcome if they didn't belittled their opponents capacity).....Originally Posted by yokam
im not going to contribute stories that I personally learned from former players but it's indeed true.....heheheOriginally Posted by loginbray
i dont care if one guy should dominate the stat line and still keep losing games....Kobe Bryant anyone? You see obe is a great athlete but with a mediocre team, its prolly frustrating for him...USC needs somebody who can work within its system, not necessarily a guy who can do it all...because at the end of every game we look for one thing: who is ahead in the scoreboard..let them individuals score 50 or 100, let's take the win..remember Wilt and Bill Russell? Wilt averaged 50 pts, Russell less than 20 per game, who had more rings? Russell has...basketball is a team game
but do u think Emel & Llanto has a group like Russell? honestly speaking they don't...that's why Im stating my case that either one of them or both of them should be doing a little bit of everything....this is no disrespect to the other players of USC but that's the reality.....if Emel is "supposedly" will be playing for UV then he doesn't have to do any special, since he has other teammates who are also capable....the other UV players 2nd & 3rd stringers are starter material/s to other schools but for USC, i just cant imagine.....Originally Posted by thadzonline
sometimes, the best players make their teammates a lot better, and that's what I hope Emel can do with Bakker and the rest of the USC guys..hmmmm..Steve Kerr, John Paxson and Luc Longley was a lot better because of MJ...but yeah, I agree, Emel needs to score too
