2 sides of a coin... Depending on your occupation/ business, sometimes what you wear and drive represents you..
Which is why some companies really spend on club memberships and employees spend on golf games to have that upperhand in their target clients...

As for savings, Ive read this on a book rsad which Ive been doin for quite sometime.. (if applicable lang ninyo)
    Divide income (salary/ revenue) into 3.. 1/3 - savings, 1/3 - bills, 1/3 - wants
So maintain at least 3 accounts.. On the wants account, say u allot P10k/ pay and after 15 days, there's an extra, I usually just keep it there (reward for myself), if you havent reached the next pay-day and you've already exhausted this acct., NEVER touch your other accounts... remember its a "luho" acct., not a need...
So if you stayed 6 hours instead of 3 and nahurot ang budget, sunod, sa awto nlang mo ting..

In addition to my first post in this thread...

    I follow this formula:

    income-investment-bills-debts= another investment, expenses, "savings"

The bulk of my bills are for investment but I regard it as bill because more or less I have to regularly cash out for it and it's getting higher each month.

"savings" or may be considered as volatile asset/ intangible asset:
7 digits (volatile because pwede ra mawa, huhu... na sobraan ka "risk taker")
    cash debt: 6 digits
loan for tangible asset (real estate): 7 digits (but can be narrowed down to 6 digits)

    What I did:
Making Man, Money and other tangible asset work for me.

An istoryan once said that niambak daw ko ky was not able to experience employment to have savings and while working, you'll be able to let your money be at work by then.

What first came to my mind is that, why will I choose to be employed when I can let those assets work for me? I can be the boss and I can work on things at my own pace. Lastly, I own my time.

As the conversation went further, I realized that I'm neither that old in age nor that "inutil" so why waste my time depending on others and on passive income. Well, 'still needing motivation to push myself to be "employed" or let's say be "active" on certain thing that I'm interested at.

I'd always aspire of learning how stock market, mutual funds and other investments work and maybe it's the right time to learn a "bit" that I may help not only myself but also others as well. If all goes well, I'll start with the conservative type where we'll be needing experts to do it for us.

This has been my long been goals:
    - health insurance
    - life insurances (plural gyud, hehe)
    - memorial plan
    - memorial lot
    - real estate properties
    - my dream business
    - retirement investments
---> same goes for my future family and optional na ang educational plan for we had a bad experience with it.

nauna mn hinuon ang real estate properties and other "businesses" pero okay lang. Now, I have to go back to the right track and gradually pool some of it for:
    - retirement--long term investments
    - life insurances
    - memorial plan
    - health insurance (this should be first but I have another principle, hehe... "If it's your time, it's your time." ...ended up suffering the pain without any pain medication and sometimes the crucial medication jud. sadomasochist )
    - memorial lot--- not that important, I guess because I regard this as dead investment.
    - more real estate properties

    Back to the Formula:
    Income- Investment= expenses/ bills

You may follow that formula ^ to start it up. Force yourself to allocate a certain percentage of your income because our day-to-day expenses can be adjusted with what's left with us. As much as possible start investing while single and no children.

Unsay pasabot nimo aning imong gisulti nga makabawi bro?
If naa kay family ug anak, if mag buy ka ug auto, makabawi ka within 10 years as compared nga magjeep ka?
Or if naa kay anak, then magjeep raka mas advantage ka by 10 years sa savings?

    Kindly elaborate daw.
