no? makalimtan ra after a day or two? i've read the book and it rates lowest in my own book reviews. hehe. one of the reasons why i want to see the movie is because it has zhang in it. i want to see for real what those unusual eyes would look like. i wanna see the costumes, see sceneries of Japan come to life. i can't remember being moved so much by the book either. except the beginning part about her parents. then i was so anxious to know who Sayuri was going to end up with. i wanted her to end up with Nobu somehow.

    Its soo nice.

I have always thought that geisha's are protistutes. Its a really nice movie.
Zhang Zi-Yi were really convincing. She gave justice to her role plus the story is really nice.
    Its as good as advertised.

Perhaps, I wanna see the girl from the movieÂ* "The Last Samurai" who portrayed "Taka".
I wanna see her play the geisha role. Just a wishfull thinking.hehe.
OT: "Taka" was played by a Japanese actress named Koyuki...she's quite popular in Japan, esp. in TV commercials..a TV soap star in "Sagittarius" a Levi's model also...too bad she can't speak fluent English unlike Zhang Ziyi..besides, the latter has proven herself well in the movies..and when it comes to acting, in my opinion, Ziyi is better..

how's pumpkin in the movie? honestly i wasn't that impress of the book.
i'm one of those who liked sayuri to end up with nobu but of everything the chairman did for her and how she felt about him, i guess the end is still fine.

Man.... THE MOVIE DOESN'T DO THE BOOK ANY JUSTICE!!!

If I wasn't so interested by Zhang Zi Yi (being all innocent at first and... looking innocent still 'til the last) and Ken Watanabe (who I found to be handsome since the last movie I saw on him was "LAST SAMURAI" which I thought it was a complete transformation of his appearance) as INDIVIDUALS, I wouldn't continue to watch the movie at all.
