Jose Rizal did sacrifice a lot of things
and did dedicate himself for the freedom of the Filipino people
in a non violent way even worthy perhaps of a nobel prize nowadays.
Jose Rizal is still my preferred Philippine Hero.

most of the writings of rizal is not in filipino or any dialect sa pinas... He uses spanish... so what happened to the "Ang hindi magmahal sa sariling wika, daig pa ang hayop at malansang isda."?

anyway OnT: I go for Bonifacio for the reason he was indeed a full pledge Pinoy! and did you know that Aguinaldo betrayed him due to ulterior motive over power.

Rizal was indeed mestizo (mixed ethnicity) although he also contributed to the success of Katipuneros.
