maybe. i always spell out the words properly even if i'm using sms. i only abbreviate words like you, your, if, or the. ther rest i spell out.

all i know is some of the texters are creative in texting, naay slangers, nagboot-boot ang ug spelling, may design..

I dont think so. Before you even do those shortcut on text you already know how its spelled for you to be able to know shortcuts much the same as using BRB, ROTFL, LMAO, etc. Its just a lingo and a craze it could very well die out in the long run.
