I used to work at IT park and twice or thrice ko nasita dira but akong dili malimtan kay nanaka mi sa I2 rooftop sa akong migo unya gisita mi sa guard but at least we were able to take our shots. Remember na dili pwede imbargohon ang imong camera maskin pa og unsa mahitabo. no one can delete your photos or get your photos without a court order. Sometimes presenting yourself as an ignorant of their policy works and then just simply walk away. Just make sure lang jud na makashoot ka daan before naa ang guard. hehehe.

This is the same thing when I just started in the film business. In our field, it's called GUERRILLA MODE. It is pretty common for independent filmmakers where they don't have money for permits. Heck, you can even be fined to shoot in a public area if you don't have a permit from the city. So if you ask the director how will you shoot a particular scene and he/she says "guerrilla", better bring just light equipments cuz when the cops comes, y'all can RUN FAST in different directions!!!!!!

Ok, as for street photography, of course you have to be careful where you are. If you happen to be in a private property, they can do whatever they want. Especially if you're taking pictures within the property like at Ayala with a Mark III-looking camera with a tripod, they will assume that you are a professional photographer and intend use those photos for commercial purposes. That's why the guards are probably being told by management to confront any individuals taking pictures using DSLR.

There should be a thread here on which locations requires permits, restrictions, and special rules so that our fellow photography enthusiasts will be aware.
