wow. did not know that but matching all day long in the heat certainly is just about the same level as making origami all day. All Useless activities. I guess the best way to go forward is just to abolish all and give the time to the student for rest and study time. Added to that students can save some on tuition.

D maayo nga balikon usik kwarta ug oras dilikado pa imo health. Sa ako nakita kadtong sauna nga nag ROTC wala man na gamit.

Nakakita ko balitah sa tv ganiha aron sad daw mo follow ug sakto ang mga student sa sakto nga pamalaod sa nasod. My question is kinahanglan jud diay ug ROTC aron makaton ug maaung pamatasan?

    Nindot nman ang setup karon.

ROTC teaches life skills such as leadership, teamwork, physical fitness, first aid, writing, planning, time management, and decision-making. If you think that you will not learn anything, then you won't. But all those shouting and insulting are preparation for the real world.

If your an employee, you will be insulted and shouted at by co-workers and bosses. How will you handle the criticisms?

Or if you are a boss or business owner, how will you inspire your workers?

The marching builds teamwork and camaraderie.

I'm sorry but that is just asinine reasoning. Using your logic, parents might as well as scream and abuse their kids, total, pangandam ra bitaw na for "the real world".

ROTC should be revived, but revised. It should not be separated academically but rather incorporated just like before, cause if it will be separated students will find ways to reason their way out of the program.

let us bring back discipline. because of too much DEMOCRACY, HUMAN RIGHTS, FREEDOM TO CHOOSE and even omission of PARENTAL DISCIPLINE, new generations of youth are so EVIL. Not ALL, but MOST.

everywhere we go, we see youth with vices, obscene unnecessary cursing words and defiance of parental discipline. mao na mga batan-on ron, di na magbaton ug kaulaw, even kahadlok. i for one have to carry this burden everyday of my life in terms of my manghod and his barkada. makapung-ot kaayo na wa ko mabuhat labi na sa balay pa namo magdala sa batasan nila. gipangadyi nalang nako ilang mga binuhatan. Gino-o nalai mahibalo

i am an 80's baby. i may not be proud of my childhood nightmares of "bakus", "pamalikas" from my father, "lusi sa dunggan", "luhod sa asin o monggos" pero somehow those experiences taught me to be self-disciplined and to learn to resist or at least be polite to veer away from earthly and evil ways.

but it doesn't mean im perfect nor clean, the point there is these issues on ROTC and other forms of discipline should be brought back. We were perfectly fine before these technologies and laws inhabited all of us. it wouldn't hurt man tingai for some of the time we'll impose strict discipline to ourselves and to others. i agree na naa dyuy mga abusado na mga tawo labi na dagkong ranggo, pero it shouldn't be the reason to abolish the disciplines indefinitely. kay for me, i still believe in the power of the iron rod. kay from where our society is going, nagkaanam nang wai disiplina mga tawo. nya pasagdan lang nato kai naa mai mga balaod mag protect sa ilaha. mao na sa pagkakaron sa ako kapung-ot on what is happening gi-pray nalang nako.

i have never believed in discipline out of fear and intimidation.

Give students the choice. Being bullied shouldn't be considered a form of instilling discipline. We think being in a military setting instills discipline, but does it really?
