i respect the raised eyebrow given to us by Hellblazer. i know this guy, and i understand where he's coming from. Hellblazer, thank you for being the Devil's Advocate. this will stir the cauldron so to speak so that the opinions and thoughts thrown around this thread will be mixed to make a unified brew..hehehe...sorry for the magical analogy. you are just trying to shed light on some dark areas. we might have missed out some stuff and i appreciate your concern.

as LighBearer already reiterated, what will happen is not the forming of an org. but an ALLIANCE lang. please see my previous reply lang just to clarify things. what DarkLord meant was dapat naay ipresent nga info ang represented group as to what they are about. dili man ni pahambugay, walang payabangan dito kundi ang pagsasaad ng basic information lamang patungkol sa grupong nirerepresentar nyo. i think this is what DL ultimately meant.

of course the fourth rule of the magician is to be silent. but does this silence mean remaining isolated? it only means, what techniques were taught, what experiences were effected by your practice, keep it to yourself. these should be kept between you and God alone, as the Sufis say. but this did not imply, "do not be friends with other groups, keep to yourself, secret and alone, be a hermit." because if you try to delve deep, isolating oneself just shows your spiritual pride and superiority complex. which, after all, is a mark of inferiority.

shouldn't the Aquarian Age bring about the bringing down of all walls and eliminating the sense of isolation from each other and ultimately from God and the Universe? if you are Masons, and Rosicrucians, Wiccans, Gnostics, and Theosophists, you should believe that the Age of Aquarius should be just like this- a common journey to find Truth. unity does not always mean conformity.

SEED OF LIBER, i think i know who you are sad, my friend. and i understand your view. you of all people have branded people who are into the occult/magical practice as charlatans if they are not of a specific Order. and this i admire. it shows that you are after Truth and pragmatic view of individuals and groups. this means that you also want to filter out the kooks and charlatans in the Philippines.

the fact that this alliance will be formed will aid greatly in exposing the who's who of the esoteric community and knowing the reason why this person was expelled, etc, as LightBearer expressed explicitly. and it will give us the necessary network through which we can work and get to know what's up in our respective groups or practices. it will also act as a protective measure so we will be alerted of any bad news, good news, or charlatans coming to our area, etc. this will somehow act as an esoteric "police" but not necessarily to punish or impose rules.

MAGNA CARTA would be good, it will be the Code of Ethics, the Creed, or the set of Ideals which the Alliance will represent. but as iczyes said, there will be no so-called "activities" organized under this Alliance. only regular conventions to discuss issues pervading individual practitioners, groups, and a specific area. this will ultimately be useful to monitor the activities of each member group and keep up to date with the different things each is doing.

but wait, you may ask, what next? after these conventions? unsay ayo? mura lag magchismis then adjourn dayon? no. dili lang ni siya chismisay ra bai. for example, group a expresses an issue, perhaps group b and c have experienced the same issue in the past and may share their advice or opinion on the issue. this will help group a reach an answer to their own question. no one will impose nga "this is what you should do" but "here's what might help you". do you guys get it? diba nindot ang naa kay allies who will be able to help you?

of course, we cannot be sure nga walay mga snakes in the house. or traitors lurking behind the scenes. there will always be misguided egos. but what we should do is treat this errant member as a brother who needs counsel. again, if dili cya mochange sa iya ways, let him be. his natural evolution will catch up with him. always bless with light. that way, we have done our part, it's time for him to do his.

about it not being so esoteric anymore, esoteric means secret diba? but does it pertain to the group's identity? or to the TEACHINGS? what is esoteric is the lessons, teachings, doctrines, etc. but not the group. diba, even Jesus taught his 12 disciples the esoteric meaning of his words, while for the masses, he taught the parables as his exoteric teachings. there is always an outer circle and an inner circle in any esoteric group.

NOW, the scenarios presented are IDEAL scenarios. of course, you mix in different groups, different personalities, with different backgrounds, there's bound to be some conflict one time or another. but the Alliance's magna carta will address that and guide the groups to reach a common ground or a mutual agreement to disagree on an issue. then, let the issue be.

if you try to view it from all angles, this idea is okay. but not foolproof. it remains with us how to make this a working Alliance and a venue where everyone is heard, everyone gets the help needed, and everyone finds friends and allies in the future when light is needed in times of darkness.

iczyes, there are groups here that i did not know existed. i am really excited to meet these groups. hopefully they will join the Alliance. thanks for the PMs guys..i will read them pa.

oh, i forgot the freemason grp? i didnt know they are still active in the esoteric arena
my dad was one of the founders of the intl order of the demolay (i don't know if tama ung name)
i think they founded it in dumaguete city
but now he thinks its becoming more of a frat org or a political org (sometimes marketing and career advancement brotherhood hehe)
rather than an esoteric one..
i hope someone can enlighten me on this one..

so far, i only got a PM from Mysterium c/o TheDarkLord. i don't think the Freemasons and Order of DeMolay will join such an alliance. they are of a different category..something that they have proven and established for centuries. but if they do want to, they will be welcome of course. let's see if Hellblazer will open this up to his brethren. yes, iczyes, as of now, their esoteric activities/principles are kept secret and within their organization. i think the Freemasons want to focus more on being a civic organization. and i commend them for this.

i am trying to think of ways to contact the Buddha Light Foundation, and i can contact Inner Dance care of one of Pi's students here in Cebu. i don't know if the established groups will join such an alliance. i sort of have this preconceived idea that they don't actually want to mingle with "esoteric" groups. but we can try..Buddhism is a religion man gud, not a group or organization. so i can't really say if they will be open to this idea. but perhaps i can find a contact from BLF soon and try to see if they would be.

Off topic: i mentioned before that Mayon's eruption can be averted by using our individual techniques and good news! i read Sun Star today and saw an article that says the evacuees are returning to their homes since the volcano has shown signs of calming down. please continue radiating Light and Protection to the people of Albay and Luzon. Magayon listened to our pleas once again. thank God!

@The ALchemist. Agreed. This is not a Database we are building.. nor is a subtle attempt at an Occultism practitioners Registration Act. This is simply a coming together of concerned organizations and orders.. There is NO demand that all OUR exclusive Rituals and Practices be surrendered to this body once it is started. For if there was heck even We would not join..

This goes for Cyril too.. This is a place were RESPECTED colleages meet each other. Im sure there are organizations of this sort in every kind of vocation. be it Doctors, Lawyers or even Military Personnel. Ergo I see the MERIT in the success of a table of this kind..

i think I get it clearly..

Saw for this example the ppl in mysterium come across someone who takes an interest into YOGA. hence since we have no official YOGA in this course we would check at this group we create who are the honorable teachers of it and thus make the referral. Ergo Good student is sent to Good teacher.

One problem we get alot of is. That. We have a WILLING student who gets to a HORRBILE teacher and thus traumatizes them from further involvement after their charlatanry. Or we have SKILLED teachers who end up with Un-deserving students sometimes and thus Demoralizes the teacher from taking on any more learners..

@DL: yeah, i believe that's a good idea. sometimes disappointments are common when you are a WILLING student but you find an INEPT teacher. or you're a WILLING teacher and you get to teach the bad eggs in the tray. it's somehow what has happened to me...that's why i told Iczyes i am phobic in taking on students at this time.

but sometimes, there are signs pointing to the fact that you have a role to play in these people who come to you for help or asking to be taught. it's either you will be their teacher, or you will learn by being their teacher. there's always a balance to everything. the important thing is you build characters not egos.

for me, as long as i have built a foundation of ethical responsibility in the practice of the mysteries, that is enough. of course there would be details that would need to be supplied, but these are circumstantial to what's essential. and this essential is a high level of spirituality that prods them to cosmic consciousness.

yes, i agree with the certification thing. that's a good plan. but let's set a date for this to happen. until now i haven't gotten other PMs except yours. but i am crossing my fingers that by summer we can get this going.

DL and i were chatting earlier and we bantered around the idea of who will represent the whole alliance. after doing some discussion of our respective nominees for the "post" which will not be a leadership role in anyway, only a secretariat position as Neo put it, he came up with the idea of rotation. and i think it's good that we do something like this, so we have a feel of different secretariats handling the group. and this further emphasizes that there is no hierarchy in this alliance. but equal opportunity for all.

what's going to be the name of this alliance? i am playing around the idea of Round Table. in Arthurian Legends, the Round Table represented the equality of King Arthur and his Knights. there are no leaders, everyone can be seen, every voice can be heard. Central to this is their common goal, the center of the Circle.

any ideas?
