Here in Cebu, I have a chihuahua and a...uhhhh...(a breed that my little siblings just affectionately call) a "Wookie". She may just be a cross between a pekingese, a shih-tzu, a pug...and godknowswhatelse. lol
My friend may give you a ring anytime soon. Prolly on Monday if you're still out of town. From what I remember, she's always been very attached to her Furminator. We both use the double-edge ones. Her mom uses one for cats too, and her dad uses it for his Black Sheperds.
When I told her about you selling one, she said she may have just found her new favorite person in Cebu! LOL She's crazy, but harmless...so don't worry. She'll annoy you soon.
You have awesome dogs by the way. Do you have American Cocker Spaniel pups?
good morning~
@maxxwarda, I don't have a store...just a house full of live furry creatures. Send me your mobile number. I'll be in Manila this Thursday to visit my family. Where do you live? I'm from Loyola Heights, Katipunan Q.C. (in front of Ateneo/Miriam). I hope you're somewhere from that vicinity hehe! Kapoy kaayo to live in Manila that's why I'm based here in Cebu and loving it.
@cultstatus, give your chi and your wookie girl a hug from me!Thanks for the compliment. I don't have cocker spaniel pups na. Last litter I had was last 2008 pa. Maybe next year I'll breed my girl again. Can't wait to meet your friend!
@moy1moy1, good day to you too!![]()

my mixed breed dog has been shaved bald twice because of matting....
i wanted to grow his hair back..but then again...we always end up with matts all over his body..
he hates the comb too..like my toy poodle...
at the moment my mixed breed doggie..is suffering from matts again...
m always having trouble with matts because he's got a double coated fur...well that's what his vet said..
and brushing time is always war.
the toy poodle: mild case of matting...she's always fighting with the comb too...
will the FURminator work for them![]()
@ moyimus,
how about handuras pizza?? diba un ung pic-up place for the furminator? im in cebu by thursday morning.. so maybe by the time ka nlang bumalik.. dito ako sampaloc.. but pwedeng mapasyal ung place nio...
Hi vp_julie, maxxwarda, koikox and sir arns, I'll leave the small FURminators at Handuraw Pizza in Gorordo. Please text me at 0922-8883870 if you're going to get them so someone from there can assist you.
@xinevirtucio, cute kaayo imo doggies!your white dog looks like a havanese. You don't need the FURminator. Poodles and Havanese dogs don't shed. (Techinically there's no such thing as a non-shedding dog since dead hair falls off & new hair must grow. poodles and havanese dogs do shed, but very little lang)
Just to clear this out, the FURminator takes out the loose and dead undercoat..and then it will prevent matting. Your dog's hair must be free from tangles and mattings before you start FURminating.
I suggest that you bath your dog not only with shampoo, but with conditioner too to have their coats soft, light and silky. Also, take the time for daily brushing, especially in the under arms of your dogs, belly & behind legs because thats where the matting starts. Don't let them get wet, because their fur will act like a mop and absorb all the dirt and stickiness...thus leads to matting.
You said your dog doesn't like to be brushed? Give her a bath w/ conditioner first. While your poodle's hair is still wet, use a pin brush...but START BRUSHING FROM THE HAIR TIPS and as you take out the matting, slowly go nearer the skin and brush again. Never start from the skin because that will pull the hair knots and your dog will feel pain. That's why your poodle doesn't like to be brushed.![]()
P.S. Don't use a comb to brush them cos your dogs have wavy/curly hair. Better to invest na lang in a small pin brush for them and make sure that its a high quality one. Soft cushioned ang ends sa pins so you won't hurt them.
