Bolton Chairman: There must be honour among thieves. (referring to topflight teams, luring the best players in other squads)

Ashley Cole: I can't play with Arsenal again. (better say your goodbyes now)

Raul: I might join Liverpool! (Liverpool can be fielding an all-spanish team, he he he.)

Ashley Cole screwed up with the Colegate scandal. Now he's telling lies against Arsenal. Better dont believe him because his supporters and fans in London hate him already. He cannot play anywhere because nobody wants him anymore. He has f*cked up.

Martina Navratilova: Liverpool shot themselves in the foot. It's their fault why they can't join the CL next season. (Who is she?)

Park: I will soon park in Manchester. (where will he be in the pecking order?)

Glazer: Now I'm in-charge here! I need new sets of Man U fans!

Police hold Van Persie for second night

Arsenal footballer Robin van Persie will be held in custody on Tuesday night following his arrest in Rotterdam after an allegation of rape was made.
Van Persie, who has at present not been charged with any offence, will see a judge on Wednesday when a decision could be made on whether to lay charges or possibly to free the Holland international.

It will be a second night in the cells for Van Persie who was arrested on Monday evening.

Reports in Holland say the alleged incident took place on Saturday night and the alleged victim complained to police over the weekend.

The 21-year-old can be held for a maximum of three days without charge and a spokeswoman for the public prosecutor earlier explained: 'He is suspected of rape and our system is different to England.'

Arsenal have so far refused to comment on the alleged incident.

Van Persie was brought to Highbury for £2.75million for the start of last season, billed as the next Dennis Bergkamp.

The youngster was not a regular in the first team, although he impressed in his 14 starting appearances under manager Arsene Wenger.

He scored 10 goals in all competitions for the Gunners in his first season at the club, although there were questions raised about his temperament.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was upset with van Persie's challenge on Kieran Richardson in a Carling Cup clash, although the Football Association took no action.

The Holland international was also sent off against Southampton at St Mary's for two wild tackles.

However, he started to show his promise towards the end of the season, netting twice in the FA Cup semi-final win against Blackburn. He required treatment after his second strike after getting flattened by Andy Todd as he wheeled away to celebrate.
