series? i dont think so...i think the one with movie potential lang kay ang the lion, the witch and the wardrobe...wala man gani nila ipasalida ang first book..book 2 naman ni siya...if theyre planning on a franchise again, they coul've shown the magician's nephew first...abi lang nako...this book is the most popular and the most ripe with christian apologism, i think

On the other hand, it could also be that they are simply following the order of release of the books as well.
TLTWaTW was written, published and released before the Magician's nephew. If that worked for the books, it might also work for the movies.

Kinda like piqueing the interest of the moviegoers to find out the story behond the wardrobe and aslan and narnia....

the 9-min trailer looks promising.
enjoyed visiting Narnia as a child. now, can't remember most of it anymore.
hope the movie does the book justice, unlike The Lord of the Rings.

yeah! i could attest to that, that chronicles of narnia is really great... it made me wish to be transported to narnia and meet aslan.. hehehe... did you notice that the 6th book which is entitled The Magician's Nephew, is really all about the beginning of narnia.. and how it all begun...

I watched it....
I watched the whole movie at my uncle's late yesterday.

And it was very satisfying. The only movie I know of so far to stay very truthfully to the book.
I could practically mouth off the dialogue since I know the book by heart.

And Aslan's voice was so regal, so full of timbre. Just as I had hoped it would.
voice by Liam Neeson, btw (Qua Gon-Jinn)

concern lang nako guys bah? when man jud nga book namatay si Aslan?
i got all of the e-books but isa palang akong nabasa, ang The Silver Chair (which nakakita na pud ko sa movie sa vcd). sa The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe kay buhi man si Aslan, sa The Silver Chair kay sort of a spirit na sya, wala na man sa Narnia nagpuyo, naa na sa of heaven (or sort of it).

@kenart:

Aslan dies in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. But he lives again at daybreak.

He is also alive in all of the other books. You will have to read The Silver Chair again, kenart. He always appears in flesh and blood, never as a spirit, in the 7 books.

However, noone can predict his coming and going. Alsan is not a tame lion, you know.

yeah, he did die sa The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe nya nabuhi

sa book The Silver Chair wala man gud si Aslan sa Narnia, he was in a different place,

[font=Verdana]"I am. And now hear your task. Far from here in the land of Narnia there lives an aged king who is sad because he has no prince of his blood to be king after him. He has no heir because his only son was stolen from him many years ago, and no one in Narnia knows where that prince went or whether he is still alive. But he is. I lay on you this command, that you seek this lost prince until either you have found him and brought him to his father's house, or else died in the attempt, or else gone back into your own world."
"Please, how am I to get to Narnia?"
"On my breath," said the Lion. "I will blow you into the west of the world as I blew Eustace."
"Yes," said the Lion in a very quiet voice, almost (Jill thought) as if he were laughing. "He has died. Most people have, you know. Even I have. There are very few who haven't."
"Oh," said Caspian. "I see what's bothering you. You think I'm a ghost, or some nonsense. But don't you see? I would be that if I appeared in Narnia now: because I don't belong there any more.

dili the same ang setting sa place from that sa Narnia (Then they saw that they were once more on the Mountain of Aslan, high up above and beyond the end of that world in which Narnia lies. ). and Aslan has this different aura, lahi ra tong Aslan sa The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe, sa two movies, sa The Silver Chair, murag dili alive si Aslan, it must be the graphics/effects old siguro, since old na man ang Silver Chair nga movie, or i don't know, please educate me.

Hi kenart,

I finally found the time to read through the whole book and I found that, yes, they first met Aslan outside Narnia but they later met him again at the end of their journey, this time in Narnia.

here it is:

"I have come," said a deep voice behind them. They turned and saw the Lion
himself, so bright and real and strong that everything else began at once
to look pale and shadowy compared with him. And in less time than it takes
to breathe Jill forgot about the dead King of Narnia and remembered only
how she had made Eustace fall over the cliff, and how she had helped to
muff nearly all the signs, and about all the snappings and quarrellings.
And she wanted to say "I'm sorry" but she could not speak. Then the Lion
drew them towards him with his eyes, and bent down and touched their pale
faces with his tongue, and said:

"Think of that no more. I will not always be scolding. You have done the
work for which I sent you into Narnia."

"Please, Aslan," said Jill, "may we go home now?"

"Yes. I have come to bring you Home," said Aslan. Then he opened his mouth
wide and blew. But this time they had no sense of flying through the air:
instead, it seemed that they remained still, and the wild breath of Aslan
blew away the ship and ..."
