Glide, a few months(years ba toh) I saw at build-it samples of perforated aluminum sheets similar to the ones gi gamit sa front sa MacPro. Brushed aluminum man toh.
You might want to use that instead of common plexiglass which everybody is using. You could also use it for the right side panel.

haha mao man jud ni ang project idea nato during our AMD days. di lang ta ka hibaw mo buhat ug water block!!!

We'll see what happens sa case mods and will consider your ideas. Just dont want to get carried away with this particular case as i have done quite a bit to it already. Maybe the next 1 )

@ glide1: the chip's not mine...my friend owns it. he got it from eBay...orig owner was a Canadian who won in an MSI OC competition w/ it & sold it thereafter in eBay...vcore setting was 1.46v...pll voltage was 1.85v for the short test duration...45nm chips don't like pll voltage above 1.65v even for an hour...

@ poldo: mobo is a Biostar TP35D2-A7 w/ a non-standard BIOS(Rebel's Haven Advanced Mod BIOS further modded for additional mem/voltage settings)...cpu cooler used is my trusty Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer & thermal paste is my usual mixture of 1rice grain size TX2 + half ricegrain of CDRKing Nano Silver...

yes...u read it right...mix na nako w/ TX2 to make the concoction "lasaw" kai i find the TX2 quite sticky...dili kaayo mo evenly spread...i also apply the thermal paste in a straight horizontal line fashion across the procie's heatspreader...not the usual nga anha sa middle portion ra...

4.5ghz and i'm over the manufacturers recommended vcore(1.36v) - 4.6ghz @ 1.44v bootable but thats it. So thats wishfull thinking to even hope for the 5ghz mark even on water. We'll see...........

    Simoko, is that your chip?
di gyud ka mosukol 5ghz sir?

@ glide1: i think u should push that proc...considering that u have a good mobo & cooling system...6GHz would be w/in reach but remember always "those who love to play w/ fire should be ready to suffer the burning"...
