Instead of giving out jobs to poor people in the country, she gives cash transfers or cash subsidies and wastes billions of pesos in it.

many scandols rose during her administration:
    The election fraud of 2004,
    Hello Garci Scandal
    NBN-ZTE Broadband Deal
    World bank allegations
    Cha-Cha.

there's like 10 more scandals but i forgot but the one i listed above are the most important
    Argumentum ignorantiam...

scandals doesn't mean she and her family is already proven guilty. We have the "Innocent until proven guilty" principle in the court of law.

besides, scandals sell like hotcakes in the media nowadays...even if found to be rumors.

Hello Garci - it was not proven that she cheated.
NBN-ZTE - it was not proven that she was involved.
World Bank - it was not proven too that she was involved.
Cha-Cha - is this even called a scandal?

besides, scandals like these are perpetrated by those political enemies of her wanting to take over the power. ayaw ko ingna limpyo na cla?

on another note, yes, corruption is still a big headache to the phils. But the President is not responsible to all that is happening in our country...iya ba nang sala naay NPA? MILF? ug Abu Sayyaf? iya ba nang sala naay mga politicos nga corrupt? iya ba nang sala naa tay Global crisis ron ug many are now unemployed due to that? sala ba na niya naay traffic violators, illegal sidewalk vendors, illegal drugs, carnapping ug smuggling?

I say NO to replacing her now. duol naman ang 2010 election. let her finish her term.

if we are to apply this principle to all candidates... so everyone are all capable, excluding ERAP since he was convicted.

Yup she was never convicted of those crimes... question is, what happen to those main perpetrators of the crime, given GMA is not included in the list of the suspects?

yes she isn't a good president. she is one of the worst presidents in asia.

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo came to power in the Philippines after a popular revolt against her predecessor, Joseph Estrada.

When she took office in January 2001, it was hoped she could help stabilise the country's volatile politics.

But after five years as president she has little to celebrate.

The country remains mired by periodic

coup rumours and natural disasters, while her social and tax reforms have paid few dividends.

that is just a matter of your own personal opinion (her being one of the worst in asia)...it would be best if you can also cite figures to back up your claim. otherwise, imo ra gyud nang opinion.

The Phils having one of the worst cases of corruption does not necessarily mean the president is one of the worst.

if i can still remember, Gloria is one of the most powerful and influential women in the world accdg to Forbes magazine. but then again, this doesn't make her one of the best either...

"Objectively, isn't Ferdinand Marcos the most worthy candidate for worst President? Maybe the young have no memory of the brutal years of martial law regime, his silencing the free press, his dictatorial control, the imprisonment, torture, murder and disappearance of thousands and his shameless plunder of the nation's treasury.

Don't we at least remember Marcos' partner in the "Conjugal Dictatorship"? Maybe her pathetic look these days is deemed by our people good enough punishment for a woman whose beauty was legendary decades ago.

How about Gloria's most recent presidential predecessor? Isn't Erap, our unlucky 13th president, another more worthy candidate for the worst President?

One of the criteria for being worst is how much lasting damage the President did. The dictator Ferdinand Marcos for instance, did more than words can convey. With Gloria, the historical reckoning is yet to be made.

    Let history judge her."
