haha.. ako imong pasabot diehard2005? hehe

Instead of endlessly arguing.. ill do something new... post lang ko actual pictures... ikaw na decide for yourself... I'll post 4 pics...

Pic 01 and 02... Swedish Brochure sa L200/Strada - Notice that it comes with ASTC...stability control... take note of the mag wheels to know the variants... Doublecab "Invite" and "Intense"

    No ASTC.... Double Cab "Invite"

    With ASTC... Double Cab "Intense"

Pic 03 (from the moose test video)... Picture of 3 mitsubishi Stradas... yeah... THREE strada's... and this was supposed to be a fair test...where are the other Pickup trucks that they were supposed to have compared?
What the heck happened to the other vehicles who were supposed to be in the test ... notice the mag wheels... the cars are indeed Doublecab "Intense" which has ASTC..

Pic 04 (from the moose test video)... Same pickup.. opposite angle..... wait... is that a mitsubishi logo on the building behind the guy.... So... the "moose test" was done on the home turf of mitsubishi motors... yes very conclusive test...

Moose test = inconclusive.... Pictures suggest the Strada was using ASTC/VSC... unless you can prove otherwise..... Inconclusive ang test..

I would even say.. this is a propaganda video by Mitsubishi para people will buy their vehicle over the Hilux. How come gi single out nila ang hilux.. then they showed only one particular test where their vehicle (having ASTC) showcased its advantage.... I may be wrong... maybe walay ASTC ang gi gamit sa video.. pero the pictures and the brochure sa Mitsu Sweden tell me otherwise.

were not stupid! LOLZ this video was the 1999 Strada with a 4D56 engine not the new 2008 Strada! Despite debates i would accept the fact that the NEW STRADA won the Moose test over the Hilux the analysis you showed was your analysis others might have different opinion because for me if they interviewed somebody at a mitsu plant doesnt necessarily mean it was conducted at mitsu or by mitsu..

Peace and spare your heart hehehe

    Toyota Hilux is mortally dangerous!

In 1997 the Mercedes A-class rolled over in an Elk test made by Teknikens Värld. Now, ten years later, is it the Toyota Hilux ”turn” to fail totally in this test!

Pickup’s have gone from being the workman’s car to be sold and marketed as family cars. Teknikens Värld has tested six pickup’s where their car like abilities i pointed out and carried in front of the sales arguments.
The Magazine makes the so called Elk test on all cars that are tested, and it is an evasive manoeuvre test that is very revealing to how a cars body is constructed. In modern cars, there is almost always active stability control (ESP), but only one of the tested pickup’s had such a system.
Toyotas pride – Hilux – failed miserably in the Elk test. Tanks to great skills and experience we managed to exactly avoid a rollover. The result is unambiguous. Under an evasive manoeuvre in normal traffic, the Toyota Hilux will roll over.
Teknikens Världs editor-in-chief Daniel Frodin now demands that Toyota must take its responsibility and as soon as possible equip the Hilux with stability control system. And naturally must the customers whom have already bought a Hilux get this retrofitted. If this isn’t done, it shows that the Japanese company is incredibly nonchalant with its customer’s life. And Teknikens Värld advice definitely against buying a Toyota Hilux before it has become safe.
Read more about the mortally dangerous Toyota Hilux and the other pickups in our test in Teknikens Värld number 23/2007. In the shops November 1. and if you prescribe already on October 31.

The Toyota Hilux might drive better on 15" alloy than on 16" low profile.

The Toyota Hilux supplied by Toyota was the full trim version with the sport 16" alloys.

After the failed test Toyota blamed wrong tires for the result.
Toyota supplied the wrong tires so what an explanation. It is almost funny.

So the Magazine got Toyota to also supply them with a Toyota Hilux in standard trim on 15" standard tires.

The Magazine was now pressed for time because of their deadline, so they had to do the test on a day where the road was a little bit wet. They made the test on a different type of road, to see if this changed anything.

They still had the original Hilux on 16” wheels so they ran the test on this one first.
The result was the same as before. The Toyota fails again, and it failed again in a very nasty way.
There was no warning before it almost turned over. The back-end didn’t first slide or anything, It just suddenly started turning over.

When they did the test on the 15” version. It still failed, but this time there was a little warning. The back-end started losing grip, which made it slightly easier to recover. The Magazine concluded that this was because of the higher tire walls combined with the wet weather.

    1. was taken from wikipedia

"In October 2007, the Swedish car magazine Teknikens Värld performed an evasive manoeuvre (a moose test) that revealed that the Toyota Hilux pickup truck was less than ideal for turning abruptly at speed. The car failed the test and only the driver's skill prevented it from overturning. After the test Toyota stopped the sales of Hilux equipped with 16 inch wheels in Europe. Teknikens Värld also gained worldwide attention in 1997, when the Mercedes-Benz A-Class overturned in their moose test."

Toyota will stop the sale of the Hilux with 16-inch wheels in Europe
After World detection technology on the Toyota Hilux dangerous properties in älgtestet now stopped the sale of the Hilux with 16-inch wheels in the whole of Europe. - Under certain circumstances, highlighting the tires for us, "said Michel Koch, product information manager at Toyota Europe.

In the technology world number 23, out in stores now, we have tested six of the most popular truck. In our detection avoidance test - älgtestet - Toyota Hilux is about to tip over. But we can do just to bring the car back by steering out of konbanan.
Hilux-competitors made it all without overturning tendencies. Best joined Mitsubishi L200 was the only pickup equipped with electronic stability (ESP).
Since our publication is the result of the testing spread to a number of different countries since Hilux sold broadly across the world. World technology reputation and track record has made the media in all of New Zealand through parts of the Middle East, Iceland, Russia and Norway proposed the big news, just to list a few.
Then we discovered Hilux dangerous properties, we have had continuous exchange of information with Toyota. Automotive company has taken seriously the outcome and we want obviously to their car buyers to feel secure.
Now select Toyota is to stop the sale of Hiluxbilar equipped with 16-inch wheels.
    - We have repeated our tests, taken note of your newspaper's findings and tested with your conditions for Moose test. Under certain circumstances, we notice that the wheels can lift at avoidance. Not as sharply as for you, yet serious enough, "said Michel Koch, product information manager at Toyota Europe.

During our Moose test with the Hilux LINED with 15-tummare we found also disturbing characteristics.
    - We do not question your test or the way you do the test. But we do not believe that the 15-inch version behave dangerously, "says Michel Koch of Toyota Europe.

Toyota in Japan since World technology test results released constantly tested and evaluated the Hilux. These tests will continue confirms Michel Koch. World testlag technology will also, together with Toyota to perform new algal order to further evaluate the car.
