It sounds like a myth and yet it is real for consciousness and soul are one. Everything in the universe is made up of matter infused with consciousness. It is generally accepted that Man is composed of mind, body and spirit (trinity concept).

i've been itching to post my two cents in this thread. i was hesitant kay hadlok masipa. but what the heck it's 1:00am, so here goes:

in my years of obe, i'm not really sure if the soul/spirit resides in the flesh but i know it is very much attached to the flesh. one way for it to detach, is through very strong vibrations, like a trillion drums beating, in and out of the body. although, i've read from the experiences of others, that there are other ways out. like through the head. some have not even had vibrations. i can't validate the through the head stuff coz i've never been able to willfully induce it.

when you are out, you bring your consciousness/mind with you. you see your body but you don't feel a mind connection with it. and when you go back, it's like surviving a drowning. heart palpitating, breath rushing through the lungs.

the spirit/soul also have substance, you feel it when you pass through walls, doors, windows and even when you just float. there is density all around you.

how often do you do it and for what purposes?

i've had my first obe when i was 16.. after that, its like weird.. ive had multiple obes.. sometimes willed sometimes not aware..

now, i find it fun to have obes.. and i also do that partial obe.. its so challenging..

and no, i am not imagining things here..

about the technicality of obes, i haven't tried that trillion drums beating, but i do sense that there are vibrations in my consciousness.. i only sense the vibrations when its partial.. but its not bothering, its wavy vibrations.. that's the best word i could think of now to describe it..

not a lot of people believe in obes, and honestly, i also don't know how to prove obes.. but i experienced it, so i guess its true. it was very scary the first time, (when i was 16).. coz i panicked when i couldn't control my body anymore..

can you share your techniques? i've been trying to learn how to do it but as useless, can't focus enough. mostly, makatulog ko when i try.

yeah, most people don't believe it. you have to experience it to believe it. and some are leery enough not to go through with it. as what i've found out from my friend. hadlok siya di kabalik, which is for me funny kay mas sayon mubalik kaysa mugawas.

have you encountered entities? friendly or otherwise?

sorry for the long ot. i'm just so happy to find kindred spirits in this forum, no pun intended

i do obe to travel around..
seriously, i do it for that purpose.. but i just can't stop laughing, sorry..

encounter friendlies or other entities? how should i describe this.. sometimes, there are places i cannot go, because its "blocked"?? i dont know really how it got blocked, its like a region is not accessible.. and its because of the very strong "emotions" or vibrations that are there.. so i just go around it.. but sometimes, i want to go there but i just cant, so i dont force to go there anymore..

techniques? be at peace, meditate inside.. that's the best technique i could offer.. there are many procedures out there like concentrate on an object as your focus, (there's a technical term for that object, i forgot--an example is an obelisk) but sometimes, it fails because your center is not stilled or at peace.. and your mind will fool you into thinking your into OBE.

when did you start your obe experiences? sometimes though, my obes get really weird, but its like adventure to me, so i disregard the weirdness. it becomes weird when i go to places i have never been to.. im not sure anymore if its still obe even.. but i get the same vibrations man gud.. so im not sure really..
