how stupid of them... they all know how powerful he is and they didnt finish him off...they saw him blast hiro away so they all know he was still alive...and they left him alone...STUPID TWIST!
and diba naay gap when hiro arrived til he stab sylar, sylar had much time and could have done his mental tricks and stop hiro in his tracks ( he could stop bullets but he cant stop a sword weild by an amature) or even catch the sword again.

and why did nathan have to carry peter up when peter can also fly...

and why was clair afraid to shoot peter. that could have stoped him from going nuclear. and they know he would have regenerated and survived right?

TOO MANY HOLES IN THE STORY!

Normally, I don't like defending loose ends or plot holes, but here's my take:

Peter couldn't have flied nor healed since he was preoccupied of how to stop himself from exploding. Remember that he can only use other hero's powers when he thinks of those people who has or had them? Claire simply couldn't shoot Peter well, because of obvious reasons. If Claire or anybody else shot him to prevent him from exploding, he wouldn't mind dying anyway and not using his healing factor to save the world. Also remember that the healing factor will always work given that the brain is "intact"; a simple headshot or injury wouldn't have given time for either Peter or Claire to heal. Remember Claire's piece of wood and Peter's sliver of glass?

Though it was not shown (this is just a theory), Hiro was able to stab Sylar most probably because he was able to put things in "slow-mo". Remember during their first encounter, Hiro would have been able to kill him only if he had the conviction. He already put things at "pause" when he attempted to stab him, only to back out on the last second, and the "pause" wearing off shortly.

As for leaving Sylar alive, well, I admit that that was one of the loose ends. But then again, this is an action/drama series and they need the viewers to stick around for the next season.

that's a really good take.. i just wished they "slow-moed" it jud to emphasize the sheer thrill of hiro's powers.. murag dry kaayo gud pagkapatay ni hiro ni sylar.. kung gi-slow-mo pa to nila, mas-dramatic jud ang effect.. the little things that add to a great show as they have done so in the first half of the season.. sa 2nd half, murag pinas-pasan na pagshoot gud para mahuman na ang storya.. basta mao na na, nahuman na..
