.. it's already dying. For almost two years these vigilantes have been doing their "thing", it lead to different reactions, some say they're doing it for the safety of Cebu and some speculate it's only power tripping, in each of their successful "operation" there have been no trail or clue - it only posts killed by vigilante. No investigations made, if there's any it runs to a dead end. Nobody knows who they are, aside from the contreversial Dumpit, who has been rumoured as being one of the elite-assasins. Nobody knows their exact number and here comes these IBP claiming they know them all without even uttering a single name. Rubbish. I guess all the IBP wants is exposure, i think it's their ( IBP ) own existance that they want to prove here.

.. if they really have the names then spill it out. Stop beating around the bush and give us the names. They look like fools with this claims and can't even give us a single name. I say this is all intelligent-tsismis.

.. first hand information?? The public has every right to know . The IBP is composed of lawyers, c'mon start the trials. Send subpoenas to the vigilantes..... but then again, it's only intelligent-showbiz-tsismis.

honestly i am in favor of vigilate style killings sa ato sugbo, its really cleaning our city of criminals. But im just wondering why all the poeple who have been killed are just small time criminals. Mga adict, drug pushers, kawatan... kato diay mga politiko na kawatan ug currupt, drug lords ug uban pa, pamatyon sad unta.

IBP head to produce evidence in court

Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Cebu City chapter president Alex Tolentino said he was not referring to Mayor Tomas Osmeña when he described the mastermind of the vigilante killings as well-connected.

“In fairness to our good mayor, I never alluded to him; I never alluded to anybody with respect to that. I don’t think there is any issue against him (the mayor) as far as he is concerned,” Tolentino said in an interview with Sun.Star Cebu.

“He is a good mayor. I think the best one we’ve got,” he also said.

Osmeña earlier called the lawyers’ group as “very pathetic” when Tolentino announced that their investigation on the vigilante killings has gained ground and that they now have details as to who the “mercenaries and murderers are.”

Osmeña ascribed motive by saying the IBP is mad at him for describing them as constantly “siding with criminals.”

Other officials, including those in the police hierarchy, echoed the mayor’s position and dared the IBP to go to court with what evidence they have.

To which Tolentino yesterday replied: “We will do that in the opportune time.”

Tolentino, according to fellow lawyers, has placed himself in a lose-or-lose gambit by announcing that he has the evidence because he now has to present these.

In reply, Tolentino said, “When I released the information, I already had in mind what to do. I’m a chess player, I don’t bluff. I’m serious in my work.”
