i guess id have to agree with you... i also wouldnt want someone to love/like me just becoz i happen to live up to his set of standards, but rather even if i fall way behind his list, he still appreciates me for me.

but for discussion sake i guess what the author means here is that what are those tiny "wishes" you'd hope to be present in that person u love...
