    Default Plantation Bay resort

I am wondering if anyone here as stayed at the Plantation Bay resort? We are supposed to be staying there at the end of November and my g/f rang them up tonight to ask them some questions about the leisure facilities. It was mentioned to her that you are not allowed to bring water or food into the resort when you arrive, or they will charge you for it. Does anyone know if this is true and if so do they search your bags when you arrive? I'm curious as I drink a lot of water.

    Thank you for any help

I'm sure any hotel, no matter how many stars it had would wish you did not bring in food or drink but I was suprised when they told her on the phone they would charge her if she brought in bottled water.

    Thanks for the replies

I have already stayed at Plantation Bay last August. Yes, they have corkage fees for food and drinks that you bring. Although, they will not search your bags when you get there. However, there are complimentary bottled waters available inside your room. Food and drinks there are freaking expensive! A mango juice costs 250!!! Eat outside the resort nalang... The prices there are for foreigners.

Stayed at plantation bay 2 months ago with friends...
we brought our own bottled water, alcoholic drinks and junk food...
we just stuffed it inside our bag and we had a blast drinking and eating after dinner until early morning...
they don't search your bags, and they don't search your rooms... so it's relatively safe to eat and drink inside your room...

we had a blast staying at plantation bay because the weather was good at the time we were there- we enjoyed the facilities, the staff was courteous and best of all, they have a strict no tipping policy!
