bai ezra if only the iphone is sold at the same price as it is sold there in the states. Cause here the N95 is much much cheaper than the iphone. price range sa unlocked iphone with shady warranties dinhi ranges from 29k - 45k which is totally absurd. For my case I will wait for its official release here hopefully with more features and not locked to any network.

Update: it was recently known that most Nseries phones especially the N95 has an accelerometer (same sa iphone nga mo detect iyang position) wala lang butangi og software sa nokia. But after surfing nokia beta labs the other day and tested the sample app using the accelerometer i was convinced nice pud and changes to any position of the phone left- right-top-bottom. hehehe lingaw kaau. also na shock pud ko sa upcoming S60 touch UI dili dili sab uiq kai S60 man ... seems to me symbian is making a faster OS with a better user interface.. it would'nt have been started if apple had'nt release the iphone. hehehe.

Comicgeek - that's just retailers taking advantage of the iPhone hype diha sa Pinas. I agree 29k for an iPhone is absurd .. 45k? wow .. I have no idea someone would be stupid enough to buy them at that price.

I agree bai .. just wait for its official release... by then maybe naay mga nindot nga features/updates gipang release sa telepono.

    Iphone gyapon......

Even Nokia is launching a touch phone...... so whose following now!!!

as to the price of the iphone... you can get bargains... all you need is to look for it...

I got one for 24K. but since that time it was 45 to $1
now its 44 to $1 so it could be more cheaper now.

As far as reviews go (and this not coming from only one source) - The N95 is sluggish, slow, poor battery life, the poorly designed sliding feature, cheap materials, etc... too many significant drawbacks for a phone that costs too much. You see people switching from N95 smartphones, Palm Treos, Samsung Blackjacks, Sidekicks, Blackberries to the iPhone but hardly the other way around - is it all out of novelty? I really don't think so.

Pero don't get me wrong bai ... I got your point - although the N95's extra features can never replace stand alone devices, they're there for you to use. I get that. Pero lahi tang duha, lahi imong gamit sa cellphone, lahi sab ako-a. Ang ako-a man gud, the iPhone can "ALMOST" replace my laptop when I'm out and about - yes, I do carry my macbook pro with me pero ug naa ko sa Bus or naglakaw sa dan, I don't have time to open my laptop and do the things I need to do - so I rely on my iPhone (sa una akong Blackberry). Can the N95 do just the same? I sure think so - pero again, the iPhone has a more superior OS in all aspects - and it makes my job easier.

    my $.02
lahi akong gamit sa imoha...lahi akong take on the unit.(ive used both and ive made my choice)
it just so happens i find the n95 superior to the iphone in all aspects and made my life easier. we can go back and forth, you have your say and i have my say. clearly you can counter whatever i say bout iphone and n95 and vise versa. but whats the point in going in circles.

this is it, basically my n95 (and 9500 for that matter) experience is the same as your experience with iphone.
just because you are pointing out magazines/sites/reviews saying bad things about n95 and good things about iphone doesnt mean no magazines/sites/reviews say bad things bout iphone and great things bout n95.
my review and take on the units is my own. MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE.
    no magazine/website/person can change that.

and how can i make you understand I DONT CARE ABOUT CAMCORDERS!
yes i sell sony/canon cam corders...tested many of them...no matter how small they are now, id STILL rather bring a STILL CAMERA. even a bigger DSLR id gladly bring 2 rather than carrying 1 small camcorder i dont care about. thats how much i dont want a camcorder. i love photography...i hate videography. it doesnt get any simplier than that does it? gets?!

Oh, we've already gone back and forth about this sa pikas pa nga thread - you decided to revive the discussion. I am not an iPhone advocate - I'd gladly buy another phone that can do a better job. Pero so far, the iPhone offers the best interface and the fastest OS amongst phones. Kana lang daan makes the iPhone more superior than other phones. You know what, ug ang N95 naay QWERTY nya mas paspas ang OS - nya prehag presyo or bisag naay gamay nga diperensya, I'd gladly drop the iPhone ang pick up the N95. I don't care if touchscreen na or dili .. or it's made out of cheap materials. If it can make my job and life easier.. I'd get it.

Because it goes against logic .. and YOUR own logic at that! - a while back ingon ka nga mas maayo mag dala ug usa ka device nga maka buhat ug daghang purpose ... now you'd rather not bring one device that can do several jobs. Karon you claim you hate videography but you still use your phone to make videos. You intentionally use crappy video devices because it goes against your principle? Mas maayo nga bati ang kuha sa video because YOU HATE VIDEOGRAPHY that much? A while back you claimed that carrying too many items is too cumbersome.. pero karon you'd rather bring 2 items (bisag mas dako pa) kaysa usa nalang ka item .. and you question me if I get it or not. NO, I don't get your reasoning. Pero if you hate camcorders that much because of some obscure reason you can't explain - just keep it to yourself. You have contradicted yourself a few times now and it's hard to take your word for it.

    Peace
