my take: it is NOT wrong to feel insulted or feel angry about the joke, it is NOT wrong to lash out against the joke... perfectly understandble as far as this one is concerned...
but there's such a thing as taking it too far (and by that, i mean some who are demanding more than just a simple apology, like a full recant, or a boycott or banning of the show or for scholarships like this stupidity http://globalnation.inquirer.net/new...ticle_id=92508)... and taking the joke out of context...
like i said before, if they want to take these kind of actions, they should do the same for our local shows that make regional or ethnical stereotypes (baluga, bisaya, probinsyanos, etc...) a butt of many jokes...
wala dapat double standards...
oh and I'M NEVER GOING TO SIGN THAT STUPID PETITION unless they also make a petition to BAN ALL FILIPINO COMEDY SHOWS AND ACTORS (which is practically the entire business) that make fun of different Pinoy stereotypes...
