ingon ako sis-in-law who is a dentist...halitosis can be systemic...meaning its in the system na. if it's in the system, you will need to find which of the systems in the body is defective. halitosis could be caused by disorders such as constipation, infections sa nose, throat, gastric or intestines.
naa daw temporary halitosis which is caused mainly by poor hygiene or eating odor-causing substances like spicy food. If this is your case, you only need to brush your teeth and some mouthwash.
naa pod laing paagi to keep ur mouth smelling clean for a long time by (after brushing your teeth)...following the below regimen.
1. drinking plenty of water...suggested is about 2-3 liters or more a day. para naay saliva pirmi imo mouth to wash away odor-causing germs. if u have hot water, u can also use the 40-60% formula (40% hot-60% warm). drink plenty to clean up the undigested particles in your stomach and to neutralize the acid that causes bad breath.
2. 3-5 tablespoon of alcoholic beverage after every meal help digest food easily and a natural anti-biotic for the mouth and the stomach. You can also do this even during snacktime.
3. Gargle using the 60-40% formula plus a dash of salt dissolved in the water.
most dentists agree that using the above formula you can maintain the confidence of a clean breath by at least 3-4 hours after brushing. It is not true daw ang claim sa uban toothpaste kanang 12-hour protection. kay less likely kaau na mahitabo especially for really dry mouths. the key to keeping bad-breath away is thru hydration ra gyud.
