ASRock H61DE/SI (with 8GB ram) and ASRock Fatal1ty Z77 Professional (with 16GB ram) together with the Inno3D GTX 660 Ti (2GB) iChiLL (factory OC).

Again, I had used Tom's Hardware chart for base line and reference...

    Conclusion:

    - It would be better to get a cheaper and descent mobo and add more budget on the GPU if the purpose would be a gaming rig.
    - CPU wise, an i3 is more than enough (again, for this benchmark lang ha). But if you want to spend more dough on the i5 or i7, it would be the buyer's decision.
    - Inno3D GTX 660 Ti iCHiLL (2GB) is a true value for our hard earned money.

    Note:

    > There are a few game titles that requires a quad core processor. I can't do some benchmarking using FRAPS kay wala man ko ana nila dri. Wala pud ko quad core processor dri. Nindot pud unta mag himo ug benchmark.
    > Tom's Hardware set-up is an "enthusiast rig"... but a gaming rig that's 1/4 on its price or even lesser can perform almost the same... again, on BF3 only as this benchmark is focused on the said game title.

I'll update this benchmark once the SLI set-up would be up and running...
Naa jud difference regarding sa RAM, keep post on these kinds of infos bro.

ok, here's the complete benchmark for one Inno3D GTX 660 TI (2GB) iChiLL Ice Dragon Edition... paired with a SB I3

based on the graphs, the improvement when you pair this GPU with a stock and an "over clocked" (a very slight one... due to its locked multiplier nature) SB i3 (i3-2120 on this case) is negligible. but i can assure you, the frame rates (FPS) in playing BF3 on Ultra preset setting is very acceptable. Dips are really present in the game, this is given. we must live with it if you'll play this game...

motherboard chip set is also negligible. it would be better to use a H61 for SB i3 or B75 for IB i3s... add the extra budget to purchase a good GPU. but, if gaming is in mind, i would strongly suggest to install a "mid-high" or a "high-low" level GPU to play games on its highest setting. "Any offerings from both Nvidia and AMD" that is targeted for the mid level market would fit in nicely...

I rest my case for now, once the SLI set-up is up and running... and as well when an intel quad core CPU is available at hand, I'll share the result here again. This is for the benefit of everyone... and most especially, to those who are looking for a "mid-high" or a "high-low" level GPU upgrade that's intended for gaming.

Inno3D's GTX 660 Ti (2GB) iChiLL is a bang for the money... or any known equivalent brand on GTX 660 Ti... and it would be a nice to have also to purchase those models that are factory OC too!

^^ You can do better on the rams bro. I bet 1600 - 8-8-8-24 is a walk in the park. Even regular kingston rams do that without bumping up the voltage. Also try 1866 9-10-9-28, 1.5v or 8-9-8/7-9-7-24 1.65v

mao gyud bro... as of the momebt, kani lang sa sya kay bling man gud... pero, naa naman pud ballistix na bling... sayang-ngan man ko kun palit napud ko'g lain... hehehehe... pagka tihik lang gyud nako dri... sige ko huna2x, gamay ra'g frame per second na difference unya then gasto napud... but, basin ma pa akan unya ko sa upgraditis virus napud... baligya napud ni or... ang extra rams, akoang ihatag napud diri sa istorya... sa maka una lang napud puhon... hehehe...

by the way, the review that I've made is also the same range of result as from Benchmark Review.com... and the same as Tom's Hardware, they are using the enthusiast level gaming rig... reasonable gyud ni na review from an Istorian point of view... some would say its an old title na for today but, the GPU hardware requirement is nice for benchmarking. again, the game is not CPU dependent...
