this is tough to tell, esp when you're already too involved in your relationship with this person. but of course, you know your lover. when he/she is not acting like himself/herself, something might be up. but this may not always mean a bad thing. people lie in relationships all the time to protect the other person.

Yet, we are always curious by nature. We tend to investigate. Especially the women.
We will know when they are lying when they can't look at you straight in the eyes.
When it will take time for them to answer your questions.
