naay advantages ug disadvantages kung tigulang nka bro.
advantages are most especially "free" health care , naay canada pension plan, naa pa old age security
disadvantage ky mingaw unya sa nursing home kasagaran puyo labi na ang mga puti.

if gikan ka sa pilipinas, or naa kay dugo nga pinoy granted naman nga filipino citizen ka so if ever mingawon ka, you have the pension, money and time dali ra kaayu e uli sa pilipinas.

The Primary Reasons why I'd go abroad (if possible, be a citizen overseas on a developed country)

1. More opportunities, getting "just" compensation from my profession.
2. Getting "respect" from the work I do. (Most professions in the Philippines don't get this)
3. Living in a country where everything is "organized" and "disciplined".
4. If I ever have kids, they won't have to experience how twisted our country is. -- giving them a brighter future.
5. Getting away from our "incurably" sick system we have in our country.
6. Getting away from "innate" and undesirable traits of most Filipinos... e.g. crab mentality, marukoy/corrupt, all our social cancers, etc. (this might still exist abroad but at least it's on a smaller scale since only a few make it out).


It's not really the financial aspect that I'm only looking at... It's a lot of things. I've done my part trying to make a righteous difference in our country, didn't work out... well, it's a hell-hole and we're all in it.

Just my 2 cents.
