yup, unethical for us to advertise, the reason behind this thread is an information drive about the role of an architect. Any questions about the profession and other things related to design, buildings and construction, materials, post mo diri...PM lang for other queries....and bawal sad mag-advertise sa general discussions...

im glad to know some sentiments of the clients as well as the architects.
To TS: These are the common challenges:
1. Owners acting as architects & contractors
2. Bad practitioners ruining the profession
Tadao Ando - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaTadao Ando (安藤 忠雄, Andō Tadao?, born September 13, 1941, in Osaka, Japan) is a Japanese architect whose approach to architecture was once categorized by Francesco Dal Co as critical regionalism. Ando has led a storied life, working as a truck driver and boxer prior to settling on the profession of architecture, despite never having taken formal training in the field.
You dont have to take formal study in architecture to become a good architect...
yup..agree ko ani boss, but we are in the Philippines, and architect here is a state regulated profession, must be a licensed architect to practice the profession, para naay manubag in kaso naay mahitabo sa mga projects. then if there are people here that consider themselves as good designers bisag way formal education as architect, then why not take the board and pass it, mayng laki na gud, im sure di sila maglisud sa exam, galing lang, requirement man pagtake sa board ang graduate ug architecture. let's just do it in a fair and legal way.
