What if kung kabolastugan ug public misinformation ang ginapost sa poster, and the moderator has sufficient knowhow on the topic to actually state that the thread starter is misleading the public with the topic? Dili pwede nga pasagdan ra na tungod kay mod ka--dapat you have to deal with it because public misinformation is HARMFUL.

they are all unproven thoughts so basically they are "meant" to mislead people, but its the topic and its under general discussion, so i think its ok?

This is the second time that this has been brought up. Just who is this mod ba? If you have a problem with one of the mods and you think that mod has been extremely unfair....BRING IT UP WITH VERN, BEOR OR GALADRIEL or one of our senior mods... Bailey and Glassmoon.

Lemme just say something... if one or even more of us do go into debate mode... it is because we also have opinions and and we are also members first and foremost and last time I checked this was a forum.

Secondly.... we will never be neutral because we will ALWAYS SIDE WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS. No matter who you are. There may be rules that we do not exactly like to enforce but we have been tasked to enforce all and not pick the rules we like. Just want you to know that there were also times that BOTH PARTIES arguing were given infractions. LOL. Kala nyo lang na kayo lang ang meron since YOU DO NOT SEE WHAT INFRACTIONS WERE GIVEN TO WHOM.

Seriously though... do not blind item here... go to the authorities.

Guess what.... I see his point. Just because these illegal activities are there... we do not have to point the way. You get me? That is like pointing out that you can get "pleasured" by stating where to hire someone.

Let us try not to encourage our fellow members to perpetuate illegal activities ...no matter how commonplace it is.

Just remember people that mods are just like us--not above and not beneath
and it so happen lang gyud they have a certain leverage in this forum
They hold an authority within the bounds inside Istorya.net
But sometimes there's this veeery thin line drawn that separates authority from tyranny
and the thought of this being just a forum and nothing really harmful or bad can be inflicted to you worst than a temporarily barred access, or ejection from having an account so there's always
the strong temptation flexing muscle of this so called authority to bully and have their way around
with those mere users.

people in this forums are mature enough to decide for themselves what's right or wrong
unless you're trying to brand this forum with a Parental Guidance rating

Also kindly check out some threads or some members with promoting their wares or shops that also sell fake gadgets. does that also fall in the category of encouraging the patronage of fake items?

for sure the work of a moderator is not easy.
The thing about judging a forum is base on how he/she understands the content. I just hope that - it's not just thinking twice but many times to decide what to moderate. and moderators are humans - who commit mistakes. And it's a big deal for ordinary users for mods to accept their mistakes also.

Anyways, I haven't had infraction/s. (which I hope I won't) And I only knew a few Mods here.
"Being a moderator is not simply just having powers or positions, it is for being Fair to every decisions. a Moderator should be patient, being kind and humble". Judging a forum(e.g) is not simply saying "feel nako" good or bad---.

There is just a few of us doing the policing. Just think lang how many mo "mere users" (your words, not mine) versus us. There are occasions that we cannot anymore elaborate on your infraction in the love-letter PM that should accompany your infraction.

If you think that a thread is in violation... then by all means... REPORT it. We have jobs...we have families... we have lives in short. We are NOT paid... we do this for the love of the forum. We are doing our best. It is not in our best interest NOR your best interest to second-guess our fellow-mod's actions. Bring it up with him/her. He might just reverse the infraction. Do not expect that from me though. I do not recall that I EVER reversed infractions no matter how much anyone begs.

That being said..we do appreciate the "mere users" we have here who regularly report violators. When you report to me though.... pls be patient kay right now I am extremely busy and I do not visit istorya as much as I would like to. For faster action... dun kay DON2 or kay YJOB. (Dont ya just love these two HARD-WORKING mods?) Or better yet.... use the report button so whoever comes across it can work on it ASAP.

And yes.... I would give you the same infraction even for just pointing out the obvious illegal activities that are there. More so kung had you said... you can buy that software sa tabi2x for a hundredth of the cost of licensed software. But that point is moot already right? It has been done and the infraction given... as I keep on saying... if you have problems with a mod...take it up with BEOR.
