Yvonne6, you hit the nail right on its head! What are we looking for? Our basal needs? Or are we wanting to transcend our human-ness and go into a higher level of existence in this mundane life of ours. If we are after pleasures of the flesh or the eyes, we are no more higher than those creatures which roam the earth.

If we can have relations which encompasses tangible realities and enhanced with our unique being and capacity to go beyond our humaness, then we have lifted ourselves out of the vicious cycle of the pleasures of the flesh.
