n'gel: I'm sorry but I disagree with this statement. And please don't state this is a fact. A man doesn't have to be a Filipino to cheat on his wife. Also, my friend's husband who is an American cheated on her when they went to Cebu for a vacation, ang nakasakit kay Cebuana ra pud ang gi iring2x-ngan sa iya bana. Nasakpan jud niya so wala nay lusot ang guy but to admit to his infidelity. She filed for divorce a few months later, that was over a year ago. So don't say that American men who marry Filipinas don't cheat. Sayop jud na.

FACT: Filipino women who opt to marry foreigners to better their lives are mostly uneducated... and VERY poor, trabaho lang intawn ug manufacturing plants, they marry foreigners not just for themselves but for everybody in her family. Para sa mga educated women, nakagraduate ug college, and nindot ug trabaho, that option is desperate and kahiya-hiya.

Not all women who marry foreigners do it for money or security reasons. There are women who come from wealthy family or who are college graduate and have high paying jobs but still ended up married to foreigners. Why descriminate women who marry foreigners? Why call them desperate and kahiya-hiya because even if they are well-educated and have good jobs they still opted to marry foreigners? Why can't we just accept the fact that not all women marry for money and security reasons, that there are also women who marry foreigners because they really love them. We can't teach our hearts whom to love baya.

It makes me sick when we Filipinos look down on these women who marry foreigners. Maghuna-huna dayon ta nga kuarta, green card, citizenship, etc ra gi-apas aning mga bayhana. Ilaha ra sad na diskarte. So let's not call them desperate & kahiya-hiya.

Though, nakasabot sad ko ngano most of us thinks this way. I personally know someone who had an American bf and Pinoy bf at the same time. She she kept it a secret for months, she only told the guy about it and dumped him the day before she was to leave for the US. Sakit di ba? And now she was so mad at her sister coz her sister decided to marry a Pinoy, kay gusto niya American sad ang maminyo sa iya sister bahala na daw tigulang basta mahayahay lang ang kahimtang. It's embarrassing pero tinuod man gud mao la tay mahimo sad.
