Gen. Larry Platt will perform "Pants on the Ground" at the Grammys!



The one and only General Larry Platt will be taking "Pants on the Ground" to the Grammys Sunday.

But only as far as the red carpet.

His manager told TMZ.com the "American Idol" star will sing "Pants" loud and proud before the awards show starts.

Platt doesn’t have a ticket for the show so the 62-year-old will be spared the sight of any rappers whose pants might be hanging low.

According to TMZ.com, Lil Wayne and T-Pain are expected to at the Grammys, which might be more than the "General" could handle.

On the other hand, up close exposure might inspire another ditty to inspire countless parodies and remixes.

With Simon's departure after this season, I wonder who a worthy replacement might be.

I kinda liked Neil Patrick Harris in his short stint as guest judge. Played the berdugo's role very well, even got under Simon's skin at some point. He just doesn't have Simon's stature in the music industry and any catty comments may not bear the same weight.
