i would prefer running/jogging kay daghan2x gyud ka ma-burn nga calories ani,
kapoy lang noon ug medyo high impact sport.
the problem with walking kay sometimes ma-mislead ang nagabuhat
nga nag-"exercise" na sila by walking. in fact gamay lang gyud kaayo
ka na-burn nga calories ana. mokaon dayun ug daghan kay "nag-exercise"
    man daw sila... ehehehe

    * from GALLOWAY'S BOOK ON RUNNING by Jeff Galloway

ENDURANCE MUSCLES BURN FAT DURING EXCERCISE AND AFTERWARD. Running develops fat-burning muscles. As these muscles come into play, they gobble up fat during excercise & continue to do so for hours afterward -- even during sitting & sleeping. To effectively lower the body's stored fats, you must 1st mobilize them so they release their fatty acids & triglycerides into the bloodstream. In this way, they will be taken into the exercising muscle cells & burned for fuel.

THE 40 MINUTE GOAL. When you begin to run, you burn primarily carbohydrates & very little fat. After 5-10 mins. the percentage of fats burned rises while the percentage of carbohydrates drops. At about 30 mins. you're burning fats as primary fuel. By that time, there are abundant supplies of fatty acids in the blood stream. Hence the value of extending your exercise periods to 40 mins or more. If running 40 continuous mins. tires you, take regular & frequent walks. To mobilize the fat, it's better to run 40-60 mins 3x a week, than 20-30 mins 6x a week!
