The Aquarium is now CLOSED!

Due to disputes with the owner of the building, we have decided to vote with our feet and

MOVE OUT!

Please watch this site for further updates, we plan to re-open for our loyal visitors and school trips at another location on Mactan Island within two months, in time for the new school term.

Hi Everyone,

Indeed the aquarium is now closed after a power billing dispute with the building owners who decided to take the law into their hands and cut-off the power supply of the aquarium. The aquarium had to save the lives of the aquatic animals thus gave them all away to willing fish keepers, although some were sent back to the sea, including the 2 favorite pet sharks Bruce and Jessie. However, a new bigger and better aquarium is now being constructed in Bgy Maribago, also in Mactan Island. For those of you familiar with Bgy Maribago, it will be just next to the Shell Gasoline Station. In the new site, we hope to eradicate problems with the previous site e.g. being too hot inside.

Anyone who would like to be notified of the opening of the Maribago site (targeted in May), please email mactan.aquarium@yahoo.com.
