Who are the Filipino people?

technically, they are people who were born or raised in the Philippines, or those with Philippine citizenship

yeah.. its in the constitution pro there are filipinos nah naa na sa other countries who are ashamed to admit that they are filipino... hmmmm.... i wonder what is there reason in doing so

i'm in another country but not afraid to say that i'm filipno and i come from the philippines. i don't see anything wrong with being a filipino.

i am on OFW in the US and to date, i have not met a filipino who denies his "filipinocity" or his country. i am not ashamed to tell people i am a filipino - born and raised in pinas...even if most times people here (pinoys or non-pinoys) think i am not.

I was not born and raised in the Philippines. I am not a Filipino citizen. My father is not Filipino yet when people ask me, I say I'm Filipino. Maybe you should rethink your preconceived notions of what Filipinos outside the Philippines think. It is stupid and foolish for them to not claim they were Filipino when looking at a mirror reminds them of it. I find people with Filipino blood are proud to proclaim they are Filipino even if they have never stepped on the Philippines or have so little Filipino blood that you wouldn't know. Filipinos, at least where I live flock to one another ... the exact opposite of your thinking. My sister had a birthday party last November and my Mom had more Filipinos over at the house than there were friends of my sister. It was like being in Cebu again ... Filipino food, delicacies, the language, everything.

yup... there are more Filipinos who are proud to be one... Pero naa jud uban nga dili na mo na sila mo ingon nga Filipino sila, once they are naturalized in other countries. Mas maau pa ka VERN, mo ingon ka nga Pinoy ka, bisan dili jud... Naa ko kaila (through a YAHOO groups lang hinoon) nga mo ingon na jud siya nga AMERICAN siya... and refers the Philippines as YOURS not OURS anymore.

We have the TOP IT People in the world and I believe that what hinders this
gifted Filipino Programmer is lack of resources.

I myself can be an example

My first job as a Software Developer Engr in INNODATA
then after 2 years of service they force me to go on leave how am i
suppose to live. During my on leave I have to money and I have to eat
1's a day and there are time 0 a day.
Then I started creating program application's for business purpose I read accounting books in order to know the transaction in the business and make an application ourt of those financials manual. And those time I am working all day night and day without meals, money, shampo, and even my debt on my boarding house rental that my lardlord had to shout and yeld at me to go out and find another room.
For almost 4 months making programs and other new discovery my freinds and boardmate help me with my food and they lent me money to pay and to apply for a job.
Actually I am not from a good school so after they know my school company are neglecting my application.

So i decided to go on with my programming and built financial system, inventory, manufacturing, fixed assets, job costing Point of Sales with Accounting System.

After 4 months of suffering being a programmer I finally finished them all which for my self I cant compete with the international developer.

Then came harvest i finally close a deal with bukidnoon city engineers office for thier need in job costing which gice me around 60,000 pesos.

Then another company with loan system. and many other system installed in many places and company.

Right now I am working as a System Engineer in a Japanese Manufacturing company in MEZP I have plenty of sidelines and company that I maintained

Filipino are more Powerful than any other because of our capability to read and write english and adapt diffrerent environment and can easily adapt new technology.


If only our government help our Top Filipino Programmer/Analyst/Developer/IT Etc. then Philippines will be the capital of Top IT Personnel in world that compete with India.
