MOONRAY (Roberto Minervini) is a multi-faceted artist. Italian-born music producer, remixer, filmmaker, photographer and video artist, he started his music career ten years ago in Madrid, Spain, as a singer for a crossover band, Doss, that combined the use of synthesizers with traditional instruments. He then went on to found two electronic record labels, Pulpa and Apnea, along with his close friend Jose Villalobos (a.k.a. DJ Ocho). Today Pulpa and Apnea have become two of the most prominent electronic music labels in Spain and Europe, and its records are played worldwide by artists of the caliber of Richie Hawtin (Plasticman) and Thomas Koner. MOONRAY also performs live in clubs everywhere. Along with other Pulpa and Apnea artists, he played at Watergate (Berlin) and Batavar (Paris), and at the Madrid Electronic Music Convention. In other occasions he shared the decks (or better said, the laptops!) with his friend and fellow musician Michael Fakesch, from the popular German duo Funkstorung). Despite his experimental roots, for his live laptop-based dj sets MOONRAY favors groovy, funky house tunes, which he tweaks and personalizes with “glitchy� loops. His sessions are characterized by a warm party vibe, and they never fail to get the crowd excited.

DJ ELMER Dado, one of the pioneers in the Philippines' dance and electronica scene is set to give Cebu a taste of his signature house, tribal and electro house beats at Club Vudu's Main Room on Saturday, Dec 2. About ELMER DADO:

Elmer has been rockin' dancefloors for almost 20 years now and has
established himself as one of the country’s most recognized house music dj's.

Picking up Residencies at the legendary Faces Disco under the Wopsy Zamora’s management group ANZIA/First Audio, and then later on moving to Club Mars, he started making a name by introducing house music to the country. When the new Planet Mars opened in 1996, there’s no stopping him and the club became the trendsetter in dance music. He went free lance in 1999 and toured almost all of the major cities in the country.

Elmer has performed with world famous DJs like Armand Van Helden, Deep Dish, Ricky Stone and Shortkut to name a few.

In 2001, he was featured by Preview Magazine as one of the 12 geniuses in Pop Culture and Arts in the Philippines.

He is presently playing the decks for Gruppo Tribale. A Latin/Tribal dance act with live percussions. He co-owned Vega Bar in Iloilo City and manages Club North in Bacolod City.

As a producer, he has released 3 Mix CDs under an independent label entitled Alien Underground, Transmission and Transmission 2.

His past major events include, Jamaican Nights 2001-2006 (An annual event in Cebu that attracts more than 10,000 people, by far the biggest dance party in the Philippines in attendance), Ayala Center Makati New Year’s Eve Party 2000, The first Ortigas Center New Year’s Eve Party 2002 and numerous club and bar gigs such as Embassy Superclub, Club Halo, Club Centro, Club Lumina, Industry & Formula to name a few.

Elmer has toured France, Germany, Italy, Spain including the Island of Ibiza and Asian cities like Hongkong and Singapore.

Expect a high energy set everytime he takes over the decks with flawless and precise mixing which is his trademark.

During weekdays, cover charge comes with access to both levels--bands at main room and club music at the upstairs lounge.

During weekends, 2nd level access is limited to those on the guestlist + their guests. other ways of gaining access to the 2nd level during weekends is through the occassional free passes given through the mailing lists; plus there was also a time that passes were given away through Y101's deep ed show.

Personally, I prefer partying at the Main Room during weekends because that's where you really experience clubbing at its best. That's where all the laser lights are and that's where all the international and national guest djs play.
