News today focuses on the inauguration of the center to put an end to doubts that the CICC will not be completed in due time. It seems we are already set for the 12th ASEAN Summit.

From what I've read from the news, people from Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City and Cebu City will be joining the inauguration of the event to signify the opening of the CICC. The Cebuanos should really feel proud for being the host in this event.

Cebu ready for summit; preparatory meet begins

MANDAUE CITY—Police here said they were ready for any security threats to the preparatory meetings for the 12th Asean Summit starting today at the new Cebu International Convention Center.

Senior Supt. Alexander Abadinas said he had more than enough people to secure the convention center and the routes to be taken by arriving delegates and reporters.

“The [security] situation here in Mandaue is okay so far,” Abadinas told Standard Today. “We have repeatedly rehearsed our responses to almost any type of emergency.”

The convention center opened Monday, and it will host the delegates from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and more than 1,000 foreign and local reporters.

“The preparations for the 12th Asean Summit are on track,” Calderon said. “Our rehearsals and scenarios are one step ahead of any possibility.”

it's really okay man there are alot more expensive hotels in the U.S. that charges you $300 a night..
