The sea gave up its dead; then Death and Hades gave up their dead. All the dead were judged according to their deeds. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the pool of fire.' Revelations 20:13-14

If Hades is not Hell (as is suggested here since Hades is to be thrown to a pool of fire --- Hell), what is this place for the dead? It's not heaven, assuredly. These dead given up by Death and Hades assuredly not only include the recent dead but also those who have already been dead for a time. If judgment happens immediately after death, what is this judgment of the dead from Hades?

'The LORD puts to death and gives life; he casts down to the nether world; he raises up again.' 1 Samuel 2:6

The Greek word used for the English word 'nether world' is Hades. Another interesting read are these quotes from the book of Psalms:

Psalms 49:15-16 'As sheep they are appointed for Sheol; Death shall be their shepherd; And the upright shall rule over them in the morning; And their form shall be for Sheol to consume, So that they have no habitation. But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol; For He will receive me.'

Psalms 86:13 'For Thy lovingkindness toward me is great, And Thou hast delivered my soul from the depths of Sheol.'

Ang importante raman sa Ginoo kamao ka mu love. That's why He gave written instructions on how to do so... If we don't cling to The Vine (Jn 15), we are nothing and we can do nothing!
