In my humble opinion... Engineering is not about the exam, its about solving the problems and climbing the corporate ladder.
Sa ubang school nga mag-uniform (sa amo nga time), USJ-R ba ron. Para nako if you are forced to follow unnecessary rules, 1 example is wearing uniform... ma-limit man gud ang creativity sa estudyante. Then most engineers will have a job in development or troubleshooting/support, if wala'y creativity or diskarte kay na-aanad ug higot sa li-og sa eskwelahan... lack sila ug maneuvering skill para maka-solve ug problem. I'm not stereotyping here but a well-rounded engineer is better than a topnotch in board exam.
In CIT, free kaayo ang mga tao manigarilyo, hubog mosulod, suka sa clinic, suka sa room hehehe. ambot lang kaha karon ha if unsa na'y nahitabo tingali nag-uniform nasad.
So far ang mga product sa CIT Engineering epektibo kaayo sa corporate world kay mga well-rounded kaayo sila.

Brad, I like CIT because I am a product of that school but naa koy comments sa imong ge post.

1. Rules are enforced as early as College or even in high school, in order to prepare us in the real world. If naanad ka ug relax2x sa college, sa trabaho makalitan ka kay mostly big companies are strict in uniform, attendance and even in wearing of ID. If you are already a professional then you should know this by now.

2. True, it's not being a topnotcher that defines you as an engineer, rather ang imong skills and other true essence of being an engineer (expert in technical ug other diskarte). But, sad but true, ang mo excel ug mahimong mga managers and even vice presidents kay topnotchers, former deans listers and cum laude graduates. It's because naana ni sa ilang self ang determination to excel not only in school but most importantly sa work.

I'm not saying nga kita dili deans lister pag college or cum laude graduates, wala tay chance mahimo ug managers and top leaders. We can become such... but of course, we have to catch up sa standards nila para maka compete ta nila in being a leader.

Again, if you are already working and kaila ka who your managers and leaders are, you should know this by now.

3. As said earlier that I am a technoy, do not close your mind nga sigurado na nga excellent ta sa corporate world. I see competition towards engineers who are graduates of USJR, USC, SU, and MSU-IIT, because taas pod ang ilang quality sa ilang mga graduates and professional.

Ang makapa excel nimo dili ang imong alma mater, kung dili ang imong self determination.
