@dnhoel: I think bai daghan pa ang pwede mo lead nato... dili ra man tingali si GMA. And I don't think that the it will help the economy kong dili jud mo abot sa kina uyokan sa issue...
Wala nato gipalagpas sa una si ERAP kay naka sala siya... karon ato lang palagpason kay si GMA? Tungod sa rason nga magkalisod atong economy... did we look at this reason pagpanahon ni ERAP? We should be consistent is fighting for what is right, if the economy will suffer because of this, there is no one to be blame but them... sila ang nagpabadlong.
@nunobone: ha? naa d i ko copy?bitaw... kong dakpon ta nila... unahon nila si Bunye kay siya ga una2x. hehehehehe....
guys.. i dunno, but i am thinking about this..
uhhmm.. taking PGMA's statement to be true.. if the election had already been decided and the votes already counted.. then what is there left to protectI was anxious to protect my votes and during that time had conversations with many people, including a Comelec official. My intent was not to influence the outcome of the election, and it did not. As I mentioned, the election had already been decided and the votes counted. And as you remember, the outcome had been predicted by every major public opinion poll, and adjudged free, fair and decisive by international election observers, and our own Namfrel.* don't you think she's basically contradicting herself..**
although i personally think ousting PGMA isn't a right thing to do as of this moment, we can never come up with an absolute guarantee that our country would be better should we kick her out of the presidential seat, but i must say it should not prevent us from questioning this issue.. after all, all of us deserve the truth.. we citizens must set example that we should be assertive on what is right instead tolerating things like these..
think about it guys..*
i'm not siding with the opposition, nor am i a hardcore PGMA supporter, though i believe she's a better choice among evils and i did vote her during the last presidential election..
@giver_bert: bot2x man to ilang gibuhat nga version...bunye bai... mura man hinoon og bun-i. hehehehe...

That was no apology to the Filipino people — not when Gloria Arroyo continues to lie and not when she insists she did no wrong, except to admit to the “impropriety” of talking to a poll commissioner in her claimed anxiety to ensure that her votes are protected and insisting, too, that she had won the elections when incontrovertible evidence — the taped conversations with Virgilio Garcillano proved she had cheated and cheated big.
And she and her aides have now been confirmed as deliberately trying to be covering up her crime. How else can she explain the fact that her spokesman Ignacio Bunye, came up with the claimed “original” CD that had her and presidential spouse, Jose Miguel “Mike” Arroyo, speaking with a “political leader” whom Bunye disclosed to be Edgar Ruado, in the stead of a poll commissioner's voice, wherein “criminally liable” statements were either edited out or altered to cover up the crime? And even had the nerve to invent those destabilization efforts by the opposition!
That Palace-claimed “original” tape that dubbed in Ruado's voice says it all. There was a crime she had committed and she and her aides tried to cover it up, and even as she admits to the female voice being hers on the tape, she continues to claim it was all a lapse of judgment.
It was not merely a case of impropriety on her part. She spoke not just once to Garcillano, but many times over and about ensuring that the figures in the election documents, whether the election returns or the statement of votes, which were obviously prefabricated, corresponded with the figures. Whether the uncooperative poll officer was already kidnapped and won't talk anymore and a lot more incriminating stuff besides.
And why, if all she wanted was to ensure the protection of her votes, would she keep on speaking to Garcillano, who even before his appointment as a Commission on Elections commissioner already had the reputation of being a master in dagdag-bawas operations, if not to ensure that he would cheat for her?
The intent to cheat, and the actual mode of cheating to be implemented by Garcillano and his team of electoral cheats, were made clear in those conversations. How any of these elitist groups, her Cabinet officials, her allies can even have the face to state that there was nothing in the taped conversations that makes her criminally liable is a manifestation of the depths these elitists, along with Gloria Arroyo, have sunk in moral values, not to mention legalities and the rule of law. They are in effect saying, yes she has committed a vile crime, but we have to let her get away with it, because we have to move on. Shame on you, Donald Dee. Shame on you, Emilia Boncodin. Shame on you, Dinky Soliman and Patricia Sto. Tomas. Shame on all those Cabinet members who claimed to have moral ascendancy in ousting a legitimate President on sheer allegations that have not — to this day, been proved, but who now support and embrace a liar and a cheat of a high official and even laud her for having cheated her way to the presidency.
Was it not they who, along with the bishops, claimed then that forgiveness was fine but that there must be justice done? That there can be no mercy without justice?
And was it not they, too, in 1986, who worked to oust Ferdinand Marcos on account of his having stolen the sovereign will of the people? Where is that same outrage over the Marcos government stealing the sovereign vote?
Or was it a mere impropriety on the part of Marcos and his Comelec chief, Leonardo Perez, to rig the elections which he won anyway?
Yet there was Corazon Aquino, who herself claimed in 1986, that Marcos had to be ousted because he committed the high crime of thwarting the will of the Filipino people, saying after Gloria's admission that it was she on the tape, “Her admission of judgmental lapses leading to improper conduct on her part is a truly welcome development,” adding Gloria “has made a strong beginning.” What moral values, what high moral ground can this woman called Cory Aquino stand on and boast of today, after expressing her support for a official who she knows cheated her way to the presidency, twice over? What was Edsa I all about then? For Cory Aquino to be in power and position?
And civil society even wants to tap Aquino to head the “Truth Commission” when she herself judges the crime committed by Gloria against the Filipino people as “judgmental lapses” and “improper conduct?”
Gloria has come up with an apology that was not even an apology. She claims to have regretted her actions even when she does not regret them at all. Even as she asks for the people's forgiveness, she continues to lie and lie some more.
She must resign, or be ousted. She does not deserve to stay in that office she has prostituted to the fullest, one minute longer!
Thanks for opening that idea here...as of this moment I wont take GMA's words seriosly anymore, she doesnt earn our trust. *Originally Posted by giver_bert

My main conviction on this issue is if we condone and tolerate this person from her crime just because there is no guarantee that our country would be better should we kick her out of the presidential seat, our values would never be the same. The world may see us as Cheaters for the rest of our lives because we condone this act. It will be printed in history books wherein our uncunning children's children would not be spared from this tag.
