The height requirement for imports now in the PBA are much higher than before, mao nang medyo bati na kay tag-as ug dagko na kaayo ang mga import, unlike before, somewhere around mga 1993, the height requirement for imports are only 6'6 for the commissioner's cup and 6'2 for the governor's cup. thrilling kaayo tong mga panahona. labi na gyud to ang SMB-Swift ug Tony Harris-Kenny Travis rivalry.
Though, one good thing about the towering imports now is that they help a lot in the improvement of our local basketball players here. When we go international, we've got no choice but to face teams with 7 footers. Our imports help us a lot in that cause.
buzz for the upcoming draft...
Welcoat will pick 1st by winning the draft lottery.
Coke will pick 2nd but they have traded their rights to SMB on the Dale Singzon trade a couple of years ago.
SMB also had their original pick in the 7-8 range.
The PBA will release the complete draft rankings by team after they have completed the list of Rookie applicants & after the Game 7 of the TNT/Alaska Championship series.
.....kinsa kahay possible ma pick sa smb for dis upcoming draft....si Devance, Stephen Reyes or Robb Reyes or si Norwood....
Moapil ba si Norwood sa draft?
norwood lang unta
apil si norwood....depende na sa first pick kay welcoat man....so kon ilang kuhaon si devance aw si norwood na jud sa second pick vice versa....

Fonacier to join Ateneo pals in SMB?
By Nelson Beltran
Thursday, July 26, 2007
Larry Fonacier is another former Ateneo Blue Eagle set to land at San Miguel Beer.
Reliable sources said San Miguel is in hot pursuit of the 2005-06 Rookie of the Year winner, offering Kiko Adriano, Brandon Cablay and Christian Calaguio as trade replacement to Red Bull.
If the deal is closed, Fonacier is joining at San Miguel former Ateneo teammates Enrico Villanueva, Wesley Gonzales and LA Tenorio. Veteran point guard Olsen Racela is another ex-Atenean on the team.
San Miguel acquired Villanueva in an earlier trade deal with Red Bull. Gonzales was taken in from Air21 and Tenorio from the 2006 Annual Rookie Draft.

...........paminaw ninyo unsa kahay ka ugmaon aning san miguel beermen? awp
Murag d apil c Norwood this coming pba rookie draft bro... kay new rule states that a fil-foreign player should at least have played 25 games on either Philippine Basketball League (PBL), NCAA, UAAP, National Basketball Conference (NBC), United Regional Basketball League (URBL) or Cebu Basketball Federation (CBF). Unya wa pud sya ni-apply for this years rookie draft.Originally Posted by clarkhkent
At 2nd pick, San Miguel will probably choose a bigman either Ken Bono, Joe Devance or JR Quinahan kay Larry Fonacier will be a beerman in the next few days. Coach Leo Austria openly said that they'll pick 6'10" Samigue Eman for it's 1st pick...
