for me, of all AI finalists, the one who gained much fame is kelly clarkson. her album sold millions not only in the US but in other countries as well... coming close to her is carrie underwood whose album is very successful too and she even won a grammy... chris daughtry, kat mcphee and kellie pickler have just released their albums and we still have to see if they'd be as successful as kelly and carrie. jennifer hudson also gained recognition though not as a singer but as an award-winning actress. other finalists who are also quite popular here in the US (although not in the mainstream) are clay aiken, kimberly locke, and fantasia barrino... but as they say, in the music world, one true measure of success is longevity. so, it's still to early to say who are really successful...

That was actually really good.” Paula Abdul said “Really good pitch, smooth, it was nice.” Simon Cowell said “I couldn’t understand a word of it. You sang like a fourteen year old, and I’m going to hate myself for this. It wasn’t horrible.”

the boy got good reviews from the judges during latin themed week. the other guys except blake were mediocre. is he going to get the last laugh?

i find melinda's reply to simon's comment very funny... she said that she's glad that he(simon) finally got the chance to say something bad...
but for me, even melinda's weak performance could still be better than others.. that's how good her voice is...
i wonder why simon is downplaying jordin. her voice alone makes any song interesting. no matter what she sings, she really can deliver... i could say that as young as she is, she's got a lot of potential... among the guys, i liked blake's performance.. this guy is really cool and unique... sanjaya was good but still not as good as the others. he had a nice song choice so he's quite lucky... i've just read somewhere that "besame mucho" was actually composed by a 15-year old spanish girl.. interesting.

Blake Lewis got the 3 judges' nod on his "Latin WeeK" performance...i have to agree with them..I think his was the best that night and really made use of the band (unlike others, hehe)..hope he wins or at least be the runner-up..

Have to agree with Simon that Haley is putting more effort on lesser clothing, (than on her singing) thus, probably getting votes for that..It's either her or Phil will have to go home..
