well, we can't do much i guess since most (if not all) telco's in PH are now resorting to chinese hardware since it is cheaper that its US counterparts.

as far as i know, Globe is now using Huawei for majority of its infrastructure... not sure with other telco's (but i would expect the same thing... maybe ZTE? )...

para nako or kun ako naa sa pangagamhanan, i will recommend to the higher ups to re-tool, re-equip, and re-configure all the assests and materials that has been brought or purchase from China

i will not sacrifice the welfare of the people just by thinking nga "naa na man" o "nakagasto" na man so padayunon o maximize na lang ang potential ... kay kun kini klase nga pang-huna2x musaler, plastada pa daan kay han-ay na kaayu

this is also one way nganung ang mga eroplano o fighter pilots sa Japan before napildi sa Allied Forces o sa USA. ang US kay nag-sige ug evolve o nag-upgrade sa ilang mga eroplano nga nagkakusog o nagka-sophisticated. pero ang sa Japanese kay from the time nga nagsugod ang WWII padung human, mao lang gihapon ang model. so bisan unsa pa ka gatsi sa mga Kamikaze-pilots apan kay mas advance na man ang Allied Forces O USA so pildi gihapon

if we will not start this early nga sige pa debatihan nga gastu o naa na man ug pahismulan na lang then sorry to say nga it will not be us who will suffer but our offspring. imagine naa ka mga apo o pag-umangkun nga mu-suffer sa mga kamot sa Instik

all i can say is something naa pa chance then we must do it ... naa gyud ta mga forecasting. i-sacrifice ang presyo bisan baratu kun di lang atung kaugalingon atung gi-huna2x

Personally, I'm usually skeptical when someone posts nationalistic slogans like "Filipino First is the Key." We are all living in the legacy of Manuel Quezon's famous cry for independence: "I would rather have a country run like hell by Filipinos than a country run like heaven by the Americans, because however bad a Filipino government might be, we can always change it." And just look at the mess we're in. M.L. Quezon was in over his head. We were too arrogant and ignorant then, and we continue to be that way. We should've let the Americans rule and develop our country for several years while we apprentice with them and absorb everything we can from their management know-how before demanding independence. China wouldn't have dared encroach into our territorial boundaries and thrown its weight around. Anyway, past is past and what could've been is wishful thinking.

So, banning China-made products or products with China-made components is the answer? You might as well throw away your iPad, cellphones, cameras, laptop computers...or even the computer you're staring at right now. Look, if China sells us something that makes us more productive or more efficient or more cost-effective, then we should be smart enough to buy it and use it to our advantage. And if China is dumping their goods to our shores, to quote Milton Friendman:

A dumper is somebody who sells something below cost, according to the official definition. A dumpee is somebody who buys things below cost. Would you rather be the one who has to sell something below cost or the one who has to buy something below cost?...Let me tell you how to make yourself rich. You simply buy what he wants to sell...the more you buy, the more he loses.

again, and as i reiterate it that we should only not think of us, about us, and for us. the way, i understand it is you are more concern only of the current things that will affect to us

if you see the bigger scope ... mura ra namalit ta China-products arun naa sila dungag budget arun ipamusil o ibangga nga mga barko sa atung fishing boats didto sa Spratly Group of Islands

in fact, mas Nationalistic pa ang Vietnamese kumpara sa mga Filipinos. during the time nga ang ilang mga fishing boats gibanggaan sa mga barko sa China, nag-rampage kini ug gipangguba mga gamit o assets sa mga Instik to think nga Vietnam was also part or province before of China

look at Cuba, Cuba has survived even of the economic embargo imposed by USA. likewise, Vietnam was able to sustained even during the times the USA again imposed economic embargo after the Vietnam war ended. it was only the time during the term of Uncle Bill Clinton nga gi-lift ang economic embargo sa Vietnam kay nakita tingali sa USA nga wa musaler o effect ilang gibuhat

then karon lately kay naa na pud negotiation nga i-lift ang economic embargo sa Cuba. countries like Iraq, Iran, Libya was sanctioned with economic embargo before pero wa nila gi-mind kay perhaps they thought nga USA is not the only country that can support them economically

South Africa before was also imposed of economic embargo because of apartheid but they survived

ug North Korea is currently only have economic for food program but hadlok ang South Korea kay nuclear power ang NoKor

for us, we are not having or no one impose to us economic embargo. so we must have the advantage even if we stop buying gadgets or equipments from China

we can always source out from other countries perhaps from India. we know India is very innovative. di lang tingali makabuga pag-ayu ang India kay daghan man mubaker nga mga Instik dire sa China

if we always think nga baratu ug daghan ta makuha nga low prices from China then pildi gyud ta

have we even thought nga China are depriving their people or doing human rights abuses sa ilang mga tawo nga gagmay kaayu sweldo, long working hours then walay benefits ... so it's only one way of saying nga we encourage them ilang buhatun ang pag-daug2x sa ilang mga mamumuo o trabahante sa kanunay natu pagpalit

i am not even saying it to stop right away or drastically. we must do it gradually

the US has stopped buying or purchasing only Huawei-products, as well, Australia so we must take it as a good lead

kay naa na man so di na dungagan. then di na sab mupalit additional China-products equipment nga ka-duda2x

we must not always think of the present but the welfare of our children's children

    that's my IMHO
