and for those trying to decide whither to upgrade your current win xp to vista, i suggest you don't really NEED to. you might WANT to, but not necessarily NEED to. hehe... in my opinion, the features on vista should just be another service pack! hehe... but if your going to buy a new desktop/laptop with a pre-installed software, by all means go vista.

another thing about vista being ram intensive, it really is. my notebook had a pre-installed 1G and my vista home premium was eating around 70% of the 1G ram installed. I had no choice but to put another 1G to FEEL safe in gaming or multi tasking.

yes I have 2Gs and it normally takes 30-35% nya standby ..sometime aku palungin uban muabot 24% mao na pinakagamay aku nasulay ehehe.
Anyway you dont have to. 1 G should be enough cause unsuse memory is a waste ehehe. but it doesnt hurt to have some extra space ehehe...

am using vista and am loving it. no problems whatsoever.
tried 32bit and now am running 64 bit because i got 4GB and wanted to use all of it.
running it on dual boot without using a boot manager.. just using the board's support where you can choose which HDD to boot from.
XP Pro on 2x320gb stripped drive and Vista on WD Raptor

vista's search function is WAY advanced compared to XP. it supports operators such as AND OR NOT and a lot more functions. it's like as if you're using google
to search for videos, simply click the start button and type:

kind:videos

you can also do this if you want to find music or pictures
