You can adjust the FSB without changing the agp/pci clock. I think via kt266 and up mobo can do this already.

You can raise the procc's total speed if your OC your FSB rather than the raise the multiplier. OCing the FSB does not strain your proc so you need to have a good cooling for your NB. active cooling is advised.

Try to lower your multiplier a little bit and raise your FSB, just maintain the vcore. This would even be faster than the default clock speed. Have the mem and FSB in sync ratio(1:1).

Games and MS Office applications generally improve with the higher front side bus speed.

mga bro... heres what I got
i have ASUS mobo (a7v8x-mx)VIA km-400bridge chipset 8235 south bridge chip
AXP 2000+ vcore now is 1.8xx volts (giving me extra temperatures)

    my setting now are:
    CPU external bus speed 133mhz
    AGP 66.66mhz
    PCI 33.33mhz

    (cpu at 1666 mhz)

what if change ko diretso to 166mhz external bus speed...
no other option man gud. DSW switch ra man gud naa sa board. I can only overclock the RAM from the Bios but for the processor nothings for bus speed multiplier etc....

ok ra ba na? mo diretso ko? dili anam-anamon? ug sa cooling what do you guys think temperature nako ani?

Try to lower your multiplier to around 13 or 14 and raise your FSB to 166. Raising your FSB won't raise the temp of your CPU so take care of your NB. Slightly raise the multiplier until you reach the default clock speed. Put a fan on your NB hsf.

    Benchmark kuno pila gain?

i say increase your fsb from 133 to 166 then lower your multiplier from 12.5 to 10. thats 166*10=1660.from there start your way up benching every step. if it gets unstable, try increasing vdimm by .1 .dont go past 2.8vdimm unless you have heatspreaders.just to be safe...

    @AMD...

    is your processor unlocked

if so... then you could choose a wide variety of multiplier....

    mine AMD AXP 2000+ (unlocked)

    def: 133*12.5 @ 1.65v
    oc: 166*12.5 @ 1.85v running 2600+

my processor was sold to dark_humbz...

    it was a TBRED A...

I like it... tho kulit kaayo c humbz na iya paliton...

    so ako nlang gbaligya...

I'm sorry for the confusin. Lower it to around 8-10. If you can't lower your multiplier increase the FSB na lang. Just keep your NB cool. Put a vantec Iceber 4 pro in your NB and OC the FSB to 200 and more!

    btw....

VIA kt400 dont have an AGP/PCI lock....

200MHz FSB is impossible... Stick to 166-169 lang.... para wla ka prob...

ma damage na ang PCI Components and Vidcard... even HDD....

    be cautious AMD_infi.....

@amd_infinium:from another thread you said you have a tbred-b...

anyway, just to give you an idea how to OC yours, heres my setting:
    AX1800 AGOIA
    147*11.5=1691 mhz
    1.75 vcore
    2.62 vdimm

thats as high as i can go without vmod on the vcore.

vantec iceberg on the NB?how about slapping a 120mm 85cfm fan on your southbridge while youre at it...hehehe i didnt know kasya ang iceberg pro sa NB?with your temps,i think you should stick to default speed unless you wanna do something bout your vcore.
