That is the whole CONCEPT .... di lang sa PORNOGRAPHY mawala ang ETHICS , CONDUCT , MORALITY etc ... basta ang tao IRRESPONSIBLE .... daghan maligsan including PORNOGRAPHY itself .

Immoral na amaw, hahaha. But seriously agree ko nila.
well, if my mom read and know my stance about pornography, and she'd feel bad, I can't blame her....but that doesn't mean she's right.Originally Posted by misfit
Our elders and forefathers may have think differently on some issues, we can't blame them because they've been born and made to think what is normal and what is immoral by their elders and forefathers too.
But that doesn't mean I can just follow them blindly. I have my own way of thinking. Based on the facts and situations I've been facing in my life. I of course can show them my respect by not talking(if not being asked) to them about my own beliefs.
Pareha ra nag religion, kung gipakatawo tang christians(or other religions), that doesn't mean nga sakto ta sa atong relihiyon, nga kita ray maluwas, nga ang ginoo sa mga muslims, buddhists, jews di mao......it might be nga mao ra nang ginooha nga atong tanang gituohan...
in short, we need to think outside the box.
while there is indeed no proof that pornography causes men to rape or that pornography has no role in sexual violence, most studies conclude that pornography creates certain attitudinal changes in men.. a number of factors inherent in pornography make it almost certain that male use of pornography will cause violence toward women.. the idea that pornography lowers men's inhibitions surrounding sexual violence and that pornography conditions the male orgasm permeate much discussion of how pornography causes rape relying heavily upon the issue of "positive victim reactions" in pornography.. Â*There is no evidence of pornography causing sexual violence.
it is held that because most pornography depicts women who seem to enjoy violence and degradation, men begin to believe that women enjoy sexual violence.. this, in turn, causes men to act violently during sexual encounters, not realizing how damaging the violence is to their partners..
morality/ethics wise, i think they are generally objective, however, our knowledge of them is subjective or we tend to view it subjectively/relatively.. which is why we commonly stress arguments like this one..
variability of morality is not an indicator of subjectivity.. it may indeed vary from place to place and time to time, all of these variances are justified according to one umbrella set of general principles (like so long as it does not cause any harm), whether we realize it or not.. ask a person making this case, "why is this and that ok before but not now?" and they will inevitably make an argument which falls back to a more generalized principle, that manifests itself differently in different situations.. ideally it's from that generalized principle that we figure out whether the issue being tackled is immoral or what..Morality? You actually belong to the smaller percentage of Filipinos in our time to still consider the morality of the old still necessary now. Morality changes as time goes. Ang standard nato sa una dili naman standard of conduct karon. Let's take for instance, our elders are so much against going out at nights, karon kay standard naman na sa ato society to be going out with friends, nightouts then mamauli 2am na. Sa una kinahanglan 6pm naa na sulod sa balay, while now, we can still attend istorya meetings set at 7pm and finish around 10pm. Or bisan sa uyab². So when I hear people rant about morality, makaana ko, pataka lang ni sila ug define unsa gyud ning morality. Morality is the current standard of common norms accepted by general society.
now.. for my personal stand.. much of the weight goes to it being unethical/immoral.. and that's why i don't watch it (not unless if i'm force to.. like it's a life and death situation hehe), nor do i hold a single video of it..Â*
I'm just curious, how come you agree with this, when you don't even watch pornos?Originally Posted by giver_bert

amaw: bro, take note on my qualifying statement (xx).. although more of my idea about porn (specifically movies) were based on dialogues with common friends who are fond of watching it.. (can only remember things like ladies being hand-cuffed, whipped while doing it, putting in foreign objects to sensitive organs and the likes.. suprisingly they seem to get even fired up with it..)
n'gel: ma'am, narrative report from department of social welfare and development - case study on minor/child offenders.. my mom used to work there..
well, I'm not sure if that's good enough to be refered as "most"Originally Posted by giver_bert
well, if studies, literature (pscychology), and personal dialougues with people vouching on it is not good enough for you, then i respect that.. just let me reiterate that there is indeed no evidences showing a direct relationship between pornography and sexual violence, however, it could somehow beget attitudinal changes, which may or may not lead to sexual violence..Originally Posted by amaw
Violent pornography is what you hear from your friends giver_bert. But violent pornography is only a section of the entire porn industry, extreme violence is already illegal.
Ang taw kahibalo man nga not all women allow these kinds of sexual acts, once a pervert... always a pervert. Mao bitaw nga only mature people are allowed to view pornography because that responsibility goes along with it, naa gyuy age restriction. Ang violent pornography nga imong pasabot might not be filtered, naa may underground pornography like extreme bondage and manipulation pero illegal. So we blame it to piracy not pornography alone.
We're living in an unperfect world, no matter how we try to make our environment safe from violence, we just can't have that. I suggest let's just talk about the legal pornography, cause I definitely am against illegal pornography na sad. Di ta mag.istorya ug extreme.
Kanang mga foreign objects or handcuffing, preference na na. Lain² man ug imagination ang lain laing taw sa ilang sexuality and what pleases them. Let's not stereotype. It doesn't mean just because people who prefer to watch these porn movies, or are practicing them during their sexual contacts, that they're already bad. Preference lang na nila. Lahi man nang sobra nga violence dili na sad na pwede.
